Blizzard Entertainment's newest take on the Diablo formula is coming to mobile devices later in the year, but those aren't the only platformers where it'll be available.

Blizzard Entertainment shared on Monday that Diablo Immortal is getting a PC version, with an open beta coming at the same time the game is released for mobile platforms on June 2, 2022. You can watch the full presentation below:

Diablo Immortal will support full cross-play and full cross-progression, so anyone on mobile can play with their friends on PC, while someone on PC can keep on playing across their phone or tablet with no issues. Blizzard Entertainment also confirmed that over 30 million players have pre-registered to play Diablo Immortal so far.

Looking to the future, Blizzard is still working on the next mainline game in the series, Diablo 4, which was announced at BlizzCon 2019. The game is still ways out, having been delayed well out of 2022 due to factors such as some employees being fired or leaving as a result of the lawsuit against Activision Blizzard.

Additionally, Microsoft is working to acquire Activision Blizzard for almost $69 billion, a deal that would add the publisher alongside Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks in the Xbox first-party division. The deal is currently slated to be complete sometime in Microsoft's fiscal year ending June 30, 2023.
