Clearly these limited product runs are popular. The Cyberpunk 2077 controller, for example, is selling out rapidly, with only a few outlets still retaining stock.
Given all the hype surrounding the Cyberpunk 2077 console reveal, we were curious what you all think about limited edition console runs. Are you someone who collects various Xbox console styles? Do you simply trade-in your old console to upgrade to a shinier limited edition one? Or do you prefer to keep it basic with the base Xbox or other console variant?

A glimpse of Cyberpunk 2077 in your hands.
The Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox One controller brings a metallic two-tone spin on Microsoft's signature gamepad. Inspired by Keanu Reeves' in-game persona, Johnny Silverhand, the design adds a rustic, futuristic flair to your gaming setup.
Stay charged up with this matching stand.
Microsoft has partnered up with Controller Gear to deliver an accompanying charging stand, taking inspiration from the industrial paneling of the limited-edition console. It displays your new Xbox controller in style, with a magnetic contact system to lock in place.

I purchased a scorpio at last launch, but when I didn't receive my order in time, I canceled it and got the regular version at the same cost. If the price is the same, why not? I guess that implies I don't really care and definitely wouldn't pay extra for a limited edition.
Frankly, I don't get limited edition consoles. Who has multiple boxes laying around unused? Controllers I get and thete have been some really cool ones, just not this one.
Absolutely no interest whatsoever. If I didn't already own a console, I may buy a special edition based on a property that interested me, but I wouldn't side grade to one.
If I was to get a new console because my old one died or it’s a new generation and I’m upgrading, then I may be interested in limited edition. I would NOT just buy one to have one. I also would not trade in one to just get one.
Only if I was buying a new console when the limited edition was releasing. The only limited edition I'd consider outside not actually needing to buy a console would be Halo. Because that franchise has importance to me since the beginning.
I do the same. I'm still kicking myself for not getting online quick enough to scoop up the Scorpio Edition X1X! I did get the Launch Edition for the XB One.
I wanted the Gears of War Xbox One X, but since the Series X was already announced, it didn't make sense.
Marketing strategies for nerds. Nah.
I love the idea of them, definitely great to be able to represent and rock a little flair than being HUM DRUM AND BORING but you know, cost prohibiting. 😅
It's more for the 'art' value, and possibly some sentimental value than anything else. Of course, technically, the console is the same internally, but it does have an art side to it. Similar to the various design flavors of Xbox one controllers. You could just get standard white or black, but I'd rather get some limited edition like the sports white and stuff. I absolutely love collecting limited editions when I can afford them!
