A few months ago, Square Enix announced that it was bringing a slew of old Final Fantasy games to Xbox One and other platforms. Today, the company released Final Fantasy IX for the console. The best part is that it supports Xbox Play Anywhere. This means that you only have to purchase the game once — either on Xbox One or Windows 10 — and can play it on whichever device you want.
Final Fantasy IX costs $21 on the Microsoft Store. Unfortunately, it doesn't feature Xbox One X enhancements. Since the titles are quite old, they probably won't be upgraded for Microsoft's latest console.
Final Fantasy IX garnered incredible reviews when it launched all those years ago, and it's great to see the title landing on Xbox One and Windows 10. Hopefully gamers will find that it still holds up even to this day. Did you play Final Fantasy IX all those years ago? Let us know.

I can't wait to get stuck into this again.
That CG did not age well!
Nice! I've got this on PS2 but I never got around to playing it, now I can play it on my tablet and my Xbox.
Good going Square! Thank you for supporting Play Anywhere!
You're better off getting the Steam version and using the Moguri Mod. It makes the game 1000 times better.
