Gears Tactics is a strategy game along the lines of XCOM. It's coming to PC tomorrow, and Xbox One later this year. It may even be upgraded for Xbox Series X depending on the release date.
Gears Tactics will be available for "free" as part of your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription on PC, but it seems like a lot of people are buying it too. Right now, it's the most popular game on Steam.

While this can be seen as great news for The Coalition, it's not such great news for Xbox Game Pass. Even now, gamers would rather buy a title on Steam than download it for free through the Microsoft Store using Xbox Game Pass. In order to combat this, Microsoft needs to revamp the Microsoft Store so that it's better for game discovery.
Are you excited for Gears Tactics? Let us know. It looks amazing from what we can tell. In Windows Central's review, Jez Corden wrote, "Gears Tactics is tied together nicely with some epic set-pieces, stunning, well-optimized visuals, and hey, it's on Xbox Game Pass for PC, which in some ways makes it a no-brainer to at least try. While I think this one could have done a lot more to evolve its macro-level progression layer, the minute-to-minute combat is some of the best I've experienced in the genre."
