GOG.com gives free PC copy of The Witcher 3 to existing owners
Grab it right now!

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is one of the best games of the generation and it's available for free right now on GOG.com if you already own it on any platform. The press release Windows Central received said the following.
We've recently finished celebrating the fifth anniversary of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and yet here's another good reason to be a fan of this cult game from CD Projekt RED. If you already own the game on any PC or console platform, you can claim the GOG.com copy for free with GOG Galaxy 2.0. You can expect even more events like this in the future. GOG Galaxy 2.0 is an application that allows gamers to connect external platforms to bring all their games and friends together in one place. This way you can manage and organize all your PC and console games in one library, launch any PC game, keep track of your progress and see your friends' status, achievements, and game time across all gaming platforms.
In order to claim the game, just download GOG Galaxy 2.0 here (opens in new tab) and connect the platform you own The Witcher 3 on, including Xbox Live or PlayStation Network. The game will show up in your games library inside the app.
It'll last you a couple of months
Xbox Game Pass gives you access to over 200 games for one monthly fee. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate also adds Xbox Live Gold to the package so you can play online with your friends.

Well that's rad. I love GOG and really prefer it to Steam. Since GOG 2.0 came out I have been loving the Xbox integration with it. It's really nice.

Would be great, if it worked. I'm trying to connect my Playstation account to it and I just get a timed out error. I click on a bunch of security pictures after entering in my login creds, and it just times out after the pictures.

Either I'm understanding wrong or this is pure BS. Once you connect any account to GOG Galaxy app, any game you own on those platforms shows up in GOG Galaxy. You connect Steam with GOG Galaxy and all your 100+ games will show up inside GOG Galaxy. That's the whole point of this app - showing games from different platforms under the same app. So, what does it mean by "The game will show up in your games library inside the app"? That was always the case. Now, if it means that GOG version of the Witcher 3 will be added to your GOG library, then that's a cool offer.

I think it's the second option
GOG had already done that several times with dozens of games from other developers, a feature called that GOG Connect, long before Galaxy 2.0. -
Correct, it's the second option. You get the GOG version of witcher 3
