Many modern 2-in-1 laptops are taking a beating in terms of stock and discount availability thanks to the ongoing RAM Crisis.

In desperate times, it's best to turn to the past, as some older laptops tend to run cheaper while still retaining precious RAM and storage lost on today's machines. Such is the case with the Lenovo Yoga 7 (with an AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 processor) that's now on sale for $799.99 at Best Buy.

This configuration of the Lenovo Yoga 7 comes equipped with a 14" 2K OLED touchscreen, AMD Ryzen AI 7 350, 16GB of RAM, 1TB SSD, and an NPU with 50 TOPS.

In terms of performance, it's top-notch as it can power through most daily tasks with quick loading speeds and snappy responsiveness, whether you're browsing the internet for personal use or writing up essays at work or school.

On top of that, the Lenovo Yoga 7 has plenty of storage space for your work that's under heavy guard thanks to its fingerprint reader and Windows Hello facial recognition systems, and a long battery life of roughly 13 hours and 20 minutes.

For downsides, there are only a few minor ones. These include a meh IPS display and webcam with limited colors and brightness, and a power button placed in an undesirable location that makes it easy for some to turn off the laptop by accident.

If those things don't bother you, then this 2-in-1 Copilot+ laptop that's had its $1099.99 MSRP chopped to $799.99 at Best Buy will serve you well during these RAM-deprived times.

FAQ

Can it handle gaming?

Does it comes with a stylus pen?

It depends on the model and retailer, but in this case, the Lenovo Yoga 7 does not come with a stylus pen, so you will need to buy one separately.

Can it overheat?

The Lenovo Yoga 7 can overheat (up to 90°C) when it's being pushed to perform CPU-heavy tasks or multitasking several programs at once, or used on soft surfaces like blankets or carpets.

To prevent this, you will need to use this laptop on hard flat surfaces so that its vents ventilate properly, clean its vents of dust, update its BIOS, and set its cooling modes to "Cool & Quiet" or "Balanced".
