Seems like everyone is getting the 8107 update today, well everyone except us in the States. Now we're getting word from a few readers that those down in Brazil who have the HTC TITAN, which goes by the name of HTC Ultimate down there, is getting two updates: 7740 followed by 8107.
No other goodies on board but why would you need anything else when you're getting two solid OS updates in a row? (For the record, if you get 8107 you always get 7740 before hand if you don't already have it). That's one more country/device down though for that nasty keyboard bug!

My unlocked Titan in Japan updated as well. All see.s fine here. Happened when other HTCs updated.

I never had the problem of the disappearing keyboard... When I think I do I slide it out and bam! There it is... (joke, I have the Arrive)
But seriously... No US love for 8107? I know I have a physical keyboard but... Still feeling left out SPRINT... K'mon, you already stated u don't care much for WP7 and now u r not gonna care about updates either??? That's a load of... Well, you know... Then again, looks like no one in the US is getting it yet so I guess that's ok??? jejeje

Just finished update 8107 here in UK and it has stopped my soft keys lighting up on my lumia, any guesses how long till they fix this bug.
This is a big important step for WP and rounds off the already well received Office hub. If you are using OCS 2007 then you are right Lync is not compatable as it runs off the 2010 technology. In fact install Lync on your computer running OCS 2007 and you will find a nice spangly copy of Lync but no way of using it.

no difference yet but after the update my clock reset and went back to 1980 !!! no idea why.

I have the 2 WP's. My HTC Titan after plugging into my PC did not offer an update, it is still 7720. That is AT&T. My HTC 7 Pro which is through US Cellular after plugging into the PC gave me the 7740 & the 8701. I cover everything Windows Phone on another site for US Cellular and was informed by another 7 Pro owner that they received the same update. That was around 10 this morning.

This isn't Microsoft's fault... They release the update and wait the carriers to rollout...
Here in Brazil, this update was unexpected, because the carriers here doesn't give a damn about updates, well, for Androids, because for WP I'm seeing that they do care...

Sorry. That excuse about it not being MS fault is not going to cut it anymore. Sure, carriers hold some of the blame as well. But its a Windows Phone and whatever MS needs to do to get these updates out, do them instead of the umpteenth blog and Facebook posts on phone vs phone challenges and the 10 things you can do with your phone.
This looks like AT&T fault, because all other carriers are rolling out the update. Now, if the carrier is holding up the update, how's that MS fault? All MS needs/can do is put some pression.
My handheld PC (phone) has an onboard cellular chip as as opposed to my USB powered cellular chip connected to my PC that is the magic difference....somehow...
My point is MS needs to find a way to get these updates out and get them out fast. Its their platform. Their name and brand on the line. If they have to step on AT&T's toes to do so, so be it. I am putting the onus on them to step it up
I was under the impression that Microsoft was not going to push the update to everyone at the same time. This wpcentral article states that Bell (yes, not AT&T) will be rolling out the update in two phases. The first started on the 18th and the second starts on the 25th.
Is it not possible that AT&T will also be rolling out the update sometime within that time frame, but it just has not started yet?
Furthermore, AT&T is a large company and even if Microsoft puts its foot down and does everything it can to get AT&T to role out updates immediately, AT&T can still turn around and say "no", and there is nothing Microsoft can do about it because they need AT&T.
What other US carriers? Nothing doing on Sprint. (Not that this surprises me). MS should use some of that $20Billion in QUARTERLY revenue to take control of the update testing process so they can push these out in a timely fashion. As it stands, I have a phone that is useless for work because Microsoft borked a Microsoft program (Exchange2003) on a Microsoft OS. 100% Microsoft's fault here.
Microsoft doesn't own AT&T I don't know what you expect them to do. AT&T is notoriously slow with updates. Complain to them not Microsoft.
So you seriously believe it's out of line for me to be disappointed in MS when it's their OS that I've invested in and they seem to be twiddling their thumbs about the update process? Again, I get AT&T is the one sitting on the updates. But if it were my name and product on the line, I'd be more proactive in making the other guy do the right thing by me. AT&T deserves to be bitched at, no doubt. But so does MS, IMO

ATT has to be more proactive with these updates, but they also need to be incentives either with compensation or pressure. Either way, MS is not providing enough compensation for ATT to want to push the updates.
AT&T needs to get off their duffs and approve this update sooner rather than later.
