Microsoft has kicked off a further marketing push for its Netflix-style subscription service for video games, Xbox Game Pass. Following its release last year, the service has become a major pillar of the Xbox One family, providing access to over 100 games for a flat monthly fee of $9.99. The firm has now launched its official social accounts too, accompanied with one of the best (or worst) adverts in Xbox history.
Posted to the new Xbox Game Pass Twitter account, the new commercial features a mess of corny stock footage, loud noises, and well… just watch it for yourself. This pairs nicely with the account itself, equally filled with an onslaught of home-brewed memes.
Xbox Game Pass is becoming an increasingly key service across the Xbox platform, with big titles recently hitting the service. New first-party games like State of Decay 2 and Sea of Thieves are included with a subscription, while third-party hits like Fallout 4 and The Division are also up for grabs. To get started with Xbox Game Pass yourself, subscriptions start at $9.99 via the Microsoft Store.
