Microsoft UK cuts price of the HP Stream 7 Signature Edition to £75

If you're in the UK and looking for a decent, cheap Windows 8.1 tablet, this deal on the HP Stream 7 Signature Edition might be what you're looking for. Usually retailing for £99, the UK Microsoft Store has cut £24 off the asking price leaving it at just £74.99. And that includes the free 1-year subscription to Office 365, as well.
For the money you're getting a 7-inch, 1280x800 resolution display, a quad-core Intel Atom CPU, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage, a microSD card slot and a 3000mAh battery.
The Stream 7 is already well priced, but taking almost a quarter off makes it even more desirable. It also has the added beauty of being a Microsoft Signature Edition, which means no manufacturer related apps or bloatware. Just good old fashioned, clean cut Windows 8.1.
There's no word on when the price will go back up, so if you're interested, definitely jump on it while you can. You'll find it at the link below.

I gave one of each to my daughters, highly recommended
-
Damn... And I'm paying that (roughly) for my household office subscription.
-
They were £80 over most of Christmas and new year, but still, fantastic value.
-
Awesome!
-
Bloody hell! That's crazy! On another UK note, Dell are now selling the new xps13 but only in i7 configurations (QHD) starting at £1104 which is only £5 more than the old i7 version.
-
I have one of these devices. It's awesome. Well worth it.:-)
-
I have one. Works great! It can actually play alot of PC games. Search HP Stream 7 gaming on YouTube.
-
How does it compare to the Linx 7 which can be bought for £50 after trade in? (Or the Linx 10 for £109 after trade in?)
-
Get the Linx 8 from Very.co.uk for just £69.99 (or £39.99 after cash back) using the £30 off a £60 spend code for new credit accounts.
Doesn't have the awful screen or the mechanical hiss from the headphone port that the Linx 7 has...and it is a much more convenient size when compared to the Linx 10. -
Spoiler alert.
Stand that thing up portrait. The tiles rotate clockwise so become proper. Windows 10 Mobile (Phone). Game over. In phone mode there is no desktop unless paired with an external keyboard. Swiping up in Win10 desktop becomes swipe left on mobile for "all apps". Think about it. -

Are you drunk?!
-
No. Just amazing.
-
I got one for Christmas. Alot of bang for your buck. Although it has quickly became my hearthstone machine :-)
-
Well that is just brilliant, think will just get two of these of my little sisters and be done with it since it has become apparent MS has completely ramped down on the Surface 2 production. I was so hoping to go down the RT route to avoid the constant "I think I have another virus" scenarios lol.
-
Me too. I was waiting to see if they were going to bring out a successor to the surface 2 and missed out on getting one at a good price. Hope they do not abandon the rt OS as I wanted a device that wasn't prone to viruses. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android

I am going to buy one. But not In UK. I hear some really good reviews over it
-
Looking forward for a discount on the US store. That would be ultra nice :)
-
C'mon Microsoft show some love towards India. It costs three times here in India
-
That's the electronics import taxes talking there, most likely.
-
Great Gadget
-
Is there pen support for this, and if so, how good is the experience?
-
I informed this site about the Hipstreet W7 just after Christmas at Carphone Warehouse going for £49. Only difference is 16GB onboard. I didn't see it mentioned
-
No thank you. Too fat, and the screen is garbage.
-
Took the jump and got me one. Probably regret it lol
-
Thought this was cheap at twice the price, so ordered two
-
I'm another happy Stream 7 owner. Bought mine in November & use it every day. Mainly as a Kindle reader, but Plex is great on it too & being able to drop into the Desktop to fire up an RDP session is really useful. Use Flight mode if you want days of battery life.
-
Got one last week. Awesome device
-
Just bought one after reading this. at that price how can you turn it down?
-
Seriously. I thought $99 was crazy when I bought mine!
-
It's a great Flipgraph reader, Manga Reader, email checker, and serves as a great entry level device for Win 8.1 best of all, it fits snug in my scrubs pocket and lab coat. Portrait or landscape the tablet is completely comfortable. Especially now with the split keyboard
-
What case is that? I got one for my father and he is looking for a good case. I am thinking about picking one up for myself. Great device for the price!
-
LMFAO!! I BOUGHT THIS ON THE 14TH!! And it's coming today :D
-
Just been playing with mine hooked up to my LG TV via Miracast and found that the TV's Magic Remote moves the mouse pointer in Windows. Awesome
