Order & Chaos Online jumps from Phone to Windows 8.1 with Xbox LIVE
By Daniel Rubino last updated

Just a few days ago, Windows Central brought word that Order & Chaos Online was not only returning to Windows Phone, but its price would drop to free. Additionally, we reported that a Windows 8.1 version would also be due soon.
Today is that day as Order & Chaos for Windows 8.1 and RT is now available to download, and as we reported, it comes replete with support for Xbox LIVE and universal login.
Order & Chaos Online is the only Xbox-enabled MMORPG for Windows and Windows Phone. We also described it as:
"While Order & Chaos Online is basically a World of Warcraft clone, it's also an utterly massive and compelling game – especially for a phone game."
Now that compelling game can be explored on your Surface or PC, which should be much fun. From the app description:
WHO WILL YOU BE?
- Use the advanced character-creation system to customize your hero:
- 5 races available: Elves and Humans fight for Order, Orcs and Undead for Chaos, while Mendels are neutral.
- Choose your gender, appearance, class and talent. With over 1,000 skills and 3,000 pieces of equipment to discover, your adventure will not be over soon.
- Create up to 4 different characters to play.
INTERACT WITH THE COMMUNITY
- Make friends or enemies, trade, challenge, communicate and more: A wide range of interactions makes each player a living part of this universe.
- Join a party or guild to become stronger and coordinate with your teammates, or you can choose to adventure solo, interacting with other players peacefully or otherwise…
THE WORLD IS YOURS
- Travel through the most majestic settings -- from dark forests to deserts, jungles, mountains and more -- on foot or by magical means.
- Talk and interact with hundreds of characters to find over 1,200 quests to perform.
ENTER THE PvP ARENAS!
- Join Player vs. Player arenas and spill the blood of your enemies to dominate the online leaderboards.
MOUNT UP
- Ride into battle faster than ever on the awesome mounts, including Lions, Stags, Bears, and more!
Overall, this should be a fantastic game for Windows and Windows Phone users, primarily due to the Xbox LIVE feature. Be warned though, the Windows 8.1 version comes in at a massive 1.4GB , so make sure you have some space set aside for it and the installation!
- Download Order & Chaos for Windows 8.1 (opens in new tab) (Free)
- Download Order & Chaos for Windows Phone 8.1 (Free)
Thanks, Dadstar0410 and Shaun S., for the tips!

Keep them coming, Gameloft. :)
-
World at Arms now also has Xbox LIVE achievements. ;)
-
Does it have gamepad support on Windows 8.1?
-
Nope and KB & Mouse support is horrendous.
-
Hopefully it will be added in an update, though I am not holding my breath
-
Great news. I hope EU servers will really explode with users now.
-
They already have. I see tons of new people pooping around.
-
Bad mistake lol
-
Yeah, but now, while there is a tiny bit of hype, there needs to be A LOT of people, so the game keeps living when the "try it out" folks get bored.
-
I mean that he wrote pooping instead of popping
-
I can't even login yet
-
Can't wait to try it out on my 2520 when it arrives.
-
Anyone hit level 8 yet? What is the cost to play after you hit it as its only 100% free until that point.
-
Which one is the most populated server?
Keyboard and mouse control is epic, time to play like a pro. -
I played a bit last night. Had a pretty good time. Hope controller support gets added at some point.
-
There's a 512MB not supported banner... LOL. I don't think any device running Windows 8 comes with just 512MB RAM.
-
Why do they keep saying it is free when the description says it is only free until level 8. It's basically a free "Try" version. To be honest,I don't know how long it takes to get to level 8, so maybe it is more significant than it sounds. Anyone reach level 8 yet?
-
It doesn't take long. Maybe 4 hours, maybe a little longer.
