The Need for Speed and Plants vs. Zombies games are quite popular, and it seems like more are coming in 2019. During its quarterly earnings call, EA's Blake Jorgensen said that new entries would launch around the same time as Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. A report by GameSpot said the "games are expected to be released this year sometime between October and December."

Jorgensen said the following during the earnings call. Hopefully the new Need for Speed and Plants vs. Zombies titles will be announced at E3 2019. EA has a substantial presence at the event.

Looking forward, we're delighted to launch Anthem... to grow Apex Legends and related Titanfall experiences, to deliver new Plants vs. Zombies and Need for Speed titles, and to add Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order to our sports titles in the fall.

While it's unclear what the Need for Speed game will be called, the Plants vs. Zombies title is probably Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 3. There was a retail listing a few weeks ago which hinted at a release this year.

Are you excited for the new Need for Speed or Plants vs. Zombies games? Let us know. While Plants vs. Zombies has always been a stellar series with strong technical foundations, the Need for Speed games need a serious upgrade. The frame rate is the biggest problem because on consoles it's still locked to 30 frames per second (FPS). This can't compete with the likes of Forza Horizon 4 which give you a 60 FPS mode on Xbox One X.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is EA's first story-driven Star Wars action game, following the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. From Respawn Entertainment of Titanfall and Apex Legends fame, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be an unmissable experience for series fans on Xbox One.
