What you need to know

  • Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 is the sequel to an unlikely but rather charming pairing of Puyo Puyo and, well, Tetris.
  • The sequel promises to have new game modes, story adventures, and an improved and rich online experience as well.
  • If you're interested, you can now pre-order the Launch Edition of Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 from Microsoft.
  • The title is also coming to Xbox Series X and S, and will launch on December 8, 2020.

There's a constant flow of games releasing all the time, but sometimes one arrives that's a little weirder than the rest, and it just works. Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 is one of those games, and is the follow-up to the original concept of forcing Puyo Puyo and Tetris, two legendary puzzle games, into a room together. Now Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 is up for pre-order, with a special Launch Edition available that will give you the game on Xbox One, and Series X and S, with a Skill Battle Booster Pack. The Booster Pack will assumedly boost your effectiveness in the game, and features some cards with items from the Sonic the Hedgehog universe.

If you played the original, are interested in the concept, or even if you just watched the trailer above and thought "this is for me," you can now pre-order Puyo Puyo Tetris 2. The game officially releases December 8, and supports Xbox Smart Delivery for the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
