Save nearly 00 on HP's Envy x2 with ARM

If you're looking to hop on the Windows 10 on ARM train, HP and Amazon are both currently running some pretty nice sales on the Envy x2. While the Surface-like device normally goes for $999, HP has it temporarily discounted to $950 at its online store, and Amazon has gone even further dropping its cost to $902.

For your money, the HP Envy x2 includes 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 12.3-inch 1920x1280 display. The star of the package, however, is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 chip, which brings a substantial boost in battery life when compared to similar Intel machines. HP estimates you'll be able to wrangle 22 hours of battery life out of the detachable tablet.

Along with better battery life, the Snapdragon 835 platform allows the device to maintain a persistent LTE connection. The Envy x2 is also always on standby, similar to how your phone works, so you won't have to wait for it to wake from a sleep state when you're ready to start getting some work done.

Given that the same ARM version of the Envy x2 is still going for $999 at the Microsoft Store, Amazon and HP are your best bets for getting in on the cheap. An Intel Core i5 variant is also available from HP, but at a higher starting price of $1,149.99.
