The game is a modern, air-based shooter with a distinctly old-school feel. Gamers who grew up on titles like Tyrian will love the gameplay because it's all about upgrading your weapons and becoming the ultimate force of destruction. The game will also launch on PC, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4 soon. It'll be priced at $9.99 on all platforms.
The game features more levels than Sky Force Anniversary and even deeper upgrades. Those who are ready to save the world can blast through hordes of enemies in the extensive single-player campaign. However, completing the main campaign won't be the end of the adventure. Players can invite their friends and enjoy the game in local co-op mode. This is sometimes necessary if you want to complete all objects like rescuing every civilian or destroying every enemy ship.
Games like Sky Force Reloaded feature aggressive microtransactions on mobile platforms but the fact that the Xbox One version costs a set amount is encouraging. It makes earning stars and upgrading your weapons that much easier. The mobile versions feel like an endless grind so here's hoping the Xbox One version won't be the same. Sky Force Anniversary didn't feature any microtransactions so hopefully Sky Force Reloaded will be the same.
