Few games so completely dominated the early era of gaming-centric YouTube as Surgeon Simulator, an incredibly silly game that let players perform less-than-accurate surgery on helpless patients. Filled with endless laughs, it was a great surprise to see Surgeon Simulator get a full-blown sequel with Surgeon Simulator 2: Access All Areas, which was released as an Epic Games Store exclusive. Today, Bossa Studios, the team behind the original Surgeon Simulator and I Am Bread, has announced that Surgeon Simulator 2 is finally leaving its Epic-flavored exclusivity in favor of a wider launch on more platforms.

If you're not familiar with Surgeon Simulator 2, the game lets up to four players complete a series of challenges, which usually involves performing very inaccurate surgery on a poor victim — I mean, patient. Surgeon Simulator 2 is all about goofy, mindless fun, and it delivers in spades (especially if you play with some good friends).
Surgeon Simulator 2 is already available to wishlist on Steam, with some exclusive in-game cosmetics up for grabs if enough people hit that "Wishlist" button. Bossa Studio's latest non-simulator launches on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and more PC platforms on Sept. 2, 2021, and could be one of the best Xbox games if it nails its in-your-face comedy and co-op gameplay.
