Surviving Mars, Wolfenstein II, and more join Xbox Game Pass in May

A few days ago, Microsoft revealed that a number of new titles would be joining Xbox Game Pass soon. The service has added a lot of popular experiences like Just Cause 4 recently, so many gamers were curious as to how the latest selection would top those additions. Luckily, these new games are even better! Acclaimed titles like The Surge, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, and more are making their debut in the coming weeks.

Below you can see a list of titles coming to Xbox Game Pass in May with their release dates. This information was shared by Xbox Live's Director of Programming Larry Hryb.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus 

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is a spectacular first-person shooter which features smooth gameplay and a surprisingly deep story. It takes place right after the events of Wolfenstein: The New Order, and continues the story of the infamous B.J. Blazkowicz and his quest to liberate the United States from Nazi rule.

Wargroove

Wargroove is an addictive turn-based game in which you can challenge your friends for world domination. Despite the fact that it features retro visuals, it has complex gameplay and you'll have to think on your feet in order to succeed.

Surviving Mars

Surviving Mars is a colony-building game, but inside of erecting towering structures on Earth, you have to take your expertise to the red planet. You start off with just a rocket loaded with supplies, and have to explore the surface to find resources and other hidden secrets. Luckily, there are some fantastic elements sprinkled in there because you'll also encounter aliens.

Tacoma

Tacoma is a first-person adventure which takes place aboard a space station. In order to retrieve technology of great value, you enter this abandoned facility and have to make your way through its corridors. Along the way, you'll have to piece together what happened to the crew and eventually come to an earth-shattering realization.

Black Desert

Black Desert is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game from Korean developer Pearl Abyss. The title is set across a massive open world where you can go anywhere and become anyone. While the majority of quests revolve around third-person combat, you'll have plenty of opportunities to trade and so much more. The team has promised continued support, so expect new regions, naval warfare, and more to be accessible down the line.

For the King

For The King takes place after a disaster of unprecedented proportions. Chaos has befallen Fahrul and it's your job to avenge the murder of your king. Not only do you have to detail with hostile foreign entities, but you also have to focus on internal affairs. The game blends role-playing, tabletop, and roguelike elements together.

The Surge

The Surge

The Surge is essential Bloodborne, but it takes place in the future. You're fitted with an exoskeleton and have to escape a deadly factory where every robot wants to murder you. However, your personal struggle eventually becomes a quest to save the entire planet.

Lego Batman 3

Lego Batman 3 is a hilarious adventure which features the same gameplay we've come to expect from the franchise. While there is a surprisingly great story, the focus on building and finding secrets scattered throughout the levels is at the heart of the experience.

Additionally, Rocket League is giving Xbox Game Pass subscribers early access to the Xbox Customization Pack. This download includes Wheels, a Boost, an Octane Decal, and a Player Banner. Subscribers will have access to it before July 15, when anyone on the platform can download it.
