The Windows Phone 8 advertising juggernaut pushes on here in the UK with the start of a huge ‘out of home’ (OOH) interactive campaign.

We have already seen a massive push from Microsoft here with the likes of TV advertising, Billboards and even events to “meet windows phone”. This time they are taking an interactive approach to showing off Windows Phone 8.

Windows Phone UK has announced that they will be having a ‘Meet Windows Phone’ event later today in Westfield Shopping Centre.

The event, to be held in conjunction with O2 will see a colourful evening of fun with the O2 angels, demos and of course Windows Phone 8. Chances to win Windows Phone handsets and Xbox’s shouldn’t be missed, check the details after the break.

Retail Exposure Report: Windows Phone - Westfield London

A few days ago, we visited London’s newest shopping mecca, Westfield to get a quick take on how much coverage Windows Phone is getting in the retail space. Much has been made about Windows Phone not having good retail exposure. We wanted to see if this was true and get a feel for how things look for Windows Phone in the UK's largest shopping centre.

Almost as soon as we entered the main concourse, we were surprised to find a full-blown ZTE promotional stand. Currently ZTE produce one Windows Phone, the Tango spec Tania, a device that’s somewhat hampered by having only 4GB memory it does make up for it with a generous 4.3" screen size. The stand was there primarily to promote a new Android phone but the Tania was along for the ride and being displayed right up alongside it.

The Nokia Arch at Westfield, Stratford

We recently covered Nokia launching their Arch promotion stand in the new Stratford Westfield shopping centre. We popped by today to take some photos using the Nokia Lumia 800, so feel free to gander at the three shots in this article. Not only do they display how serious Nokia is with promoting the platform, but also how decent the camera is too.

Nokia Arch launched at Westfield Stratford

A brand new Westfield has opened its doors in Stratford and has become the busiest shopping centre in the UK since opening in September this year. The centre is situated next to the London 2012 Olympic park, as well as Stratford International, a connection for the Eurostar. Using this potential stream of traffic (both local and from abroad), Nokia have set up their "Nokia Arch" at Westfield to show off the new Lumia 800 running Windows Phone.

This Arch was also used at Nokia World (as seen below) and proved to be an interesting concept. As well as the innovative arch itself, seating and more demo tables will be available with the Nokia team at hand to provide walkthroughs and to answer any questions that may arise.

Mark Dence, Head of Nokia Branded Retail UK, had the following to say about the unveiling:

"The Nokia Arch at Stratford will provide thousands of customers with a unique opportunity to enjoy the full experience of the Nokia Lumia 800. It’s a fun and chilled retail environment where our expert team will help customers get the most out of their new phone."
