Sir Sly – You Haunt Me

Sir Sly

Los Angeles indie trio Sir Sly dropped their first studio album this week. You might recognize the track Gold from the the Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag trailer. But the album goes beyond that! Check out this up and coming band. [Indie pop, Alternative rock]

  • The people I talked to who saw Godzilla said it was a drag and that he didn't even show up until halfway into the movie. Might have to check out for myself :P
  • It's a cool movie though .... Much much better than the '98 version.
  • He is in like7 minutes of the movie all together it's worth watching tho
  • That is a gross oversimplification. Godzilla is in about half of the movie, and is worth checking out. I enjoyed it. So much better than Godzilla 2000.
  • I doubt those people had much appreciation for the source material then. I thought the movie really captured the old Kaiju feel and I would rank it in the top three Godzilla movies. No it is not a Michael Bay action money shot, but a real Godzilla movie shouldn't be IMO.
  • People don't understand the art of presenting such legendary monster on screen, its more fun to watch Godzilla when it comes bcuz of the suspence and delay.
  • Nice Cadillac ... Err artwork (minus the flames), its been a while since I listened to train.
Thanks Sam! You have an interesting tile layout, Sam.
  • Xbox music needs to be free like iTunes is
  • ?
  • Don't feed the troll IceDree :)
  • Neva ! :p
  • It is free! If you search with bing and collect bing points, you can trade them in for a month of xbox music and still have points left after the month is over.  EDIT, also i forgot for a second that they do have a free mode where you can see ads.
  • Wait, where is that? On Xbox music I only see my songs
  • If you're talking about the free streaming,.. In the PC app (or website) just play a song or album from the store. For an album you normally only have to watch one video ad. I have no idea if the phone app supports it yet.
  • If you can't see the Xbox Music store it means it's not available in your country and changing the region to US won't help. You'll get an error when you try to get any content from Xbox Music.
  • The pilot for that new show Forever is free on Xbox Video. Available before it's even aired.
  • Happened for Halt and Catch Fire
  • $5.99 to rent! Rip!
  • Yeah, this is my biggest gripe about Xbox Video. Why would I pay $5-6 per rental when I can walk a block to 7-11 and Redbox a Blu-Ray for $1.50? 4x markup is absurd. They really need to do regular $0.99 rentals. Make it a weekly thing. Make it part of "Deals with Gold", if necessary. But make it happen.
  • That's comparing different things. $5 is the rental price across iTunes, Vudu, Google Play, etc. Redbox is a different animal altogether.
  • Not really. I'm sitting at home and want to rent a movie. I can pay 4x the price on Xbox Video (or those other streaming platforms), or I can go walk 2 blocks round trip at 1/4 the cost. Now, granted not everyone lives 1 block from a Redbox kiosk, but anyone who rents movies even semi-regularly would avoid the ovepriced streaming platforms because of how quickly it adds up. I can rent 20 movies on Xbox Video for $100+, or I can rent 20 Blu-Rays on RedBox for $30. The point is that Xbox Video should reduce their rental prices a bit, even if it's only for weekl specials. Those $0.99 rental deals they occassionaly have, I'll gladly rent those.
  • You are paying more for the convenience of not having to go to a kiosk twice to rent a movie. You also have to make sure you return it on time or else they charge you for another day.
  • That is totally not worth a 4x markup on price. 2x, maybe. 4x? No way.
  • I've seen both Godzilla a d The Fault in Our Stars. Both are very great movies.
  • Fault in our stars "Unrated, 8 episodes"?... It might just be me, but... Yeah.No.
  • I was wondering about that too xD lmao.
  • Looks like imma try some rock music
  • Although I want to see Sir Sly getting more and more promoted, a part of me didn't want that, because they could become "victims of industry" (I can't explain it).
By he way, great post, Sam! I appreciate your musical taste. Make sure to check "Cheek To Cheek" for next week post. It promises. :)
  • Godzilla movie was ok lets hope next movie has more action
  • Wondering when Xbox services will come to Latin America (CR) :'(
  • Thanks for the albums recomendations. I'm gonna check them on Spotify though :P
