What you need to know
- There's going to be a pre-show before the Xbox Games Showcase on July 23.
- This event is hosted by Geoff Keighley and will feature world premieres.
- It begins at 8:00 a.m. PT, one hour before the main showcase.
The Xbox Games Showcase is less than a week away, bringing big games that players can look forward to seeing on the Xbox Series X. If you were thinking of only tuning in for the main event however, you may want to reconsider. Geoff Keighley, host of the Game Awards and Summer Game Fest, shared on Twitter that the pre-show before the big event will feature "additional world premieres."
Aaron Greenberg, GM of Xbox Marketing, also commented on Twitter that fans should check this pre-show out, as the team has been working with a variety of partners on it. This pre-show will be available to watch via YouTube Gaming on July 23 at 8:00 a.m. PT. For the main showcase, you'll have a few different options for how you want to watch it.
Now, to be clear, I wouldn't recommend expecting big things from this pre-show. Instead, there might be some smaller reveals, or updating on existing Xbox titles that fans will enjoy. The really big games like Halo Infinite are going to be in the main event.
Best of both worlds
