F1 driver Heikki Kovalainen believes Nokia Lumia 920's camera is "real good"

Heikki Kovalainen

Finland Formular 1 racing driver Heikki Kovalainen has published some photos taken on a Nokia Lumia 920 to Twitter. That's not entirely 'newsworthy' on its own, right? Well, Kovalainen subsequently replied to a tweet sent from a follower, asking if the shots were taken with a Nokia Lumia smartphone, with positive feedback on experience with the camera.

We've previously shouted from the rooftop of the tallest skyscrapers in the world just how good Nokia's PureView technology is when using a Lumia 920 in low-light conditions. Nokia has also run some tests asking consumers to try and best the 920 with a competitor smartphone. Check out one of the shots he published on Twitter photos captured on the Windows Phone:

It's nice to see these type of endorsements.  American businessman Mark Cuban also revealed he's sporting a Lumia 920 in an AMA (As Me Anything) session on Reddit, which adds to the list (with Kovalainen) of celebrities who are playing a part in the marketing of Windows Phone.

He'll be right where he is next year though he deserves a better seat, maybe Ferrari after they kick Massa to the curb.

Actually it's a finnish thing, people don't like bulls**t here(in Finland), all conversations are straight to the point. :)

Yup... Finnish people are crap for Smalltalk, but serve a Vodka and they're experts;) Greetings from Norway (And I really like Finnish people)

I'm still getting a little blur with my 920's camera after the update. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Well that really doesn't say much for the optical image stabilization if that's the case. I usually keep my arms a still ass possibly. I shouldn't have to be more still with the 920 than my old Focus right?

A little shake here and there does not effect a 920 picture. You must have something else wrong with your phone.

That was a rhetorical question.. I know its not shake because I've seen the ois in action. My point is that further optimization of the software may be necessary.

haha sorry, I was being a smartarse and didn't mean it seriously. Ummm make sure you're focusing before taking the photo (with a half-press of the button) or tapping on the area of the screen that you want it focus.

If you accidentally touched the camera lens, the grese from fingers left on lens can causes blur. Try clean the lens.

Me too, my first generation Focus takes better pictures. And the constant red eye when using the flash is unacceptable.

Alls we need now is matt kenseth in our side in the #20 home depot Toyota. Mabey they can add wireless charging to it.

I had a little update in September on my HTC Titan and my camera is better than before in low-light condition :P More realistic ^_^

my neighbor's aunt makes $62 an hour on the laptop. She has been out of work for ten months but last month her pay was $12289 just working on the laptop for a few hours. Read more here (Click on menu Home more information) http://goo.gl/JPky4

Is everybody so blind that they can't see this was staged by Nokia PR! Go on text the F1 guy and ask to tweet to confirm that he hasn't been paid to promote Nokia or MS, you won't like the answer.
