Baby Toy Phone - a Windows Phone game for Tiny Tots in the crowd

24

Baby Toy Phone is a Windows Phone game that turns your phone into an interactive toy phone for your toddler.

Available for low-memory Windows Phones, Baby Toy Phone has decent graphics, bright colors and a large collection of nursery rhymes that are played when your child makes calls from Baby Toy Phone. Obviously, this Windows Phone title isn't going to be for everyone but for those with small children, it comes across as a great attention getter.

Weekly photo contest: Cars

After a brief hiatus thanks to events (and illness), the weekly photo contest is back and in its new weekend slot. We've decided to move it from a weekday when there's potentially a lot of news and other things going on to a more relaxed slot on a Sunday evening. Aside from a new day, nothing else is changing, so let's get to it!

This weeks contest is something close to my heart: cars. Along with tech, cars are my other major passion in life and recently I had the opportunity to finally visit the world famous Geneva Motor Show. Some 2 weeks later I'm still trawling through all the photos but it gave me some great inspiration for this weeks contest. The shot up top is from my Lumia 830, is completely unedited and is one of my favorites from the show.

But now it's over to you to get creative! But first, let's find out who won the last contest...

The new HTC One M9 gets reviewed

HTC's last flagship device, the One M8, is something we're quite fond of. Despite seeing a limited launch and coming after the Android version had already hit the market, it was a great example of a high-end Windows Phone.

Now, HTC is back. The One M9 has so far seen no mention of a Windows Phone version, but until someone at HTC flat out says it's not happening, we'll live in hope. And our pals at Android Central have just reviewed it.

Ziggurat review: A magical first-person Roguelike for Xbox One and Windows

31

Thanks to the existence of several standout titles like Rogue Legacy, Binding of Isaac, and Crypt of the NecroDancer, the Roguelike genre has exploded in popularity over the last couple of years. Characterized by randomly generated levels, the inability to continue when you die, and minimal room for error, games in the genre are addictive and tough to master. Although Rogue Legacy has been announced for Xbox One, Microsoft's console has long been without a Roguelike – until now.

Ziggurat comes to Xbox One and Windows from Spanish developer Milkstone Studios, who started out making numerous XBLIG titles for Xbox 360. Their first ID@Xbox release is a magic-themed first-person shooter in the vein of classic FPS Hexen. It also happens to be an FPS Roguelike, of which there are very few games so far.

Can Ziggurat's wizardly appeal and addictive randomness overcome a few technical issues and sometimes unfair difficulty? Read our full review with video find out!

The Chase Bank app no longer works for Windows Phone as support is now entirely cut off

400

A few weeks ago, Chase seemed to have taken a less-extreme position than Bank of America over its discontinuation of their banking app, announced in January. The massive bank told users that they could continue using the app 'until further notice'.

The implication at the time (and this all it was) was that if you had the Chase banking app on your phone it would still work into the foreseeable future. Unfortunately, this is not the case. According to reader reports, the app is completely non-functional as of today.

Get ready to pay more for apps on Windows Store from next month

118

Microsoft will update the price tier values for Windows Store during the week of April 13, 2015. Windows Store supports 96 tiers that publishers can use to price paid apps and in-app products. These price tier values are updated periodically to maintain consistency across currencies, accounting for changes in foreign exchange rates, taxes, and other geographic pricing considerations. The information comes through an email Microsoft has sent out to developers, alerting them of the change.

Beginning April 13, the price tier values will be updated and while the US Dollar (USD) price in each tier will remain the same, the prices in all other currencies adjusted relative to the USD price.
