Bunny Goes Boom - an explosive Windows Phone game

9

Bunny Goes Boom is a simple, easy to play Windows Phone game that has you piloting a rocket that has a bunny rabbit strapped to it. You'll have to steer the rocket around a host of obstacles to see how high you can fly it.

The slightest nick against any of the dangers will cause the rocket to explode and the bunny to go boom. Available for low-memory Windows Phones, Bunny Goes Boom isn't a difficult game to pick up but you may be surprised how challenging something so simple can be. I'm not sure it can hold up to hours of game play but for shorter periods, Bunny Goes Boom might be an option to consider.

The Microsoft Surface Hub in all its glory

Announced at the January Windows 10 event, the Microsoft Surface Hub is a giant, touchscreen Windows computer aimed at the enterprise market. But here at Mobile World Congress we (well, some of us, anyway) got our first actual, in-person look at it. If you ever thought it was impressive, you were absolutely right. It's incredible.

Microsoft isn't letting anyone play with it, which is to be expected given the pretty hefty cost, but it is taking pride of place on the booth. So we've snapped a few images for you to check out below.

The HP Spectre x360 convertible laptop is simply gorgeous

25

Announced yesterday at MWC 2015 was the HP Spectre x360, the latest in HP's line of high-end high-design Spectre portables. The previous Spectres have been very nice machines, but the x360 might just take the cake.

The Spectre x360 sports, as the name might imply, a 360° hinge mechanism that allows you to pivot the screen all the way around and close it onto the backside to use it as a tablet — a tablet that just so happens to have a 13.3-inch display (in 1080p or QHD) and a high-powered Intel Core i-series processor.

Microsoft confirms that a Windows Phone flagship won't arrive until Windows 10 'is ready'

380

At Mobile World Congress, Microsoft launched its latest offerings in the budget segment, the Lumia 640 and the Lumia 640 XL. For those holding out for a flagship device, the Redmond giant announced back in January that a Windows Phone flagship running Windows 10 for phones will arrive sometime in 2015, with no mention of a date. In an interview with The Verge, Microsoft's director of phone marketing Neil Broadley said that a flagship will be available following the launch of Windows 10.

Qualcomm announces ultrasonic finger scanner and machine learning engine, teases Snapdragon 820 processor

46

Qualcomm has a host of new technologies in store, including an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, cognitive machine learning for your smartphone and tablet, and, of course, a new processor: the Snapdragon 820.

Qualcomm today at MWC 2015 announced their newest device security measure: an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. Dubbed Qualcomm Snapdragon Sense ID 3D Fingerprint Technology, the tech uses ultrasonic waves to penetrate through the outer layers of your finger to build a three-dimensional map of your fingerprint that's much harder to duplicate than a mere capacitive scanner as you'd find on the Samsung Galaxy S6 or iPhone 6. Additionally, Qualcomm also announced their new "machine learning" platform Zeroth, which aims to go for a device that learns and adapts to how you use it.

My thoughts on the Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL and why this is a turning point for Microsoft

360

This morning, Microsoft has – as expected – unveiled two new Lumias for the Windows Phone line: the Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL.With the announcement of the Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL, Microsoft demonstrates it can handle Lumia hardware (and improve where Nokia failed)

Announcing mid-range phones during Mobile World Congress is almost routine now for Microsoft (Nokia), and this year's additions are not game changers by any means. They will also not quell the masses yearning for a new high-end Lumia Windows Phone, something we do not expect until later this year when Windows 10 is good and ready. Sorry, folks.

Still, I want to talk briefly about these phones and my time with them. In short, I like what I see, and I think Microsoft is paying attention.
