Fragments of Him

Fragments of Him tells the tale of a man named Will who ended up getting into a car accident during a drive to work, and how he and his family deal with the struggles that come with living as (and helping) a disabled person. The story is pretty dreary and the gameplay is average, but its achievements are a breeze and it'll only take two hours of your time to finish the title.

Beyond Eyes

The premise of Beyond Eyes is an intriguing one. Playing as a blind girl, you leave the safety of your home in order to try and find a lost cat. As the player, you can only see what is immediately near the girl, which makes navigating the environment a unique (and sometimes frustrating) challenge. However, you'll get the hang of it eventually, and the achievements are easy-peasy.

Beyond Eyes is available for $14.99.

6180 The Moon

There's very little complexity to this indie platformer. You play as the moon, and your ultimate goal is to jump your way through the universe in order to find the sun, which has gone missing. It's quite simple, but considering it only lasts an hour, that's OK. Even better, you'll be able to nab the achievements in no time.

6180 The Moon is available for $3.99.

Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove

While Shovel Knight is a bit lengthy and the mechanics will take a few minutes to get the hang of, the game becomes a lot easier once you learn the ins and outs. The game also offers 1,500 gamerscore instead of the usual 1,000, so the extra investment required to learn the game and be patient with it is definitely worth doing. The game itself is also fantastic, which is a bonus.

Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove is available for $24.99.

The Bunker

In The Bunker, you play as John, the only survivor within a nuclear bunker. Kept mentally in check by a daily routine, John begins to lose control of himself when an alarm sounds. Less of a game and more of an interactive movie, The Bunker's achievements come entirely from finding little collectibles in the environment and seeing both endings of the game, which you can do by continuing from your save right before the final sequence after beating the game once.

The Bunker is available for $19.99.

Cubot: The Complexity of Simplicity

Cubot introduces a simple concept used in creative ways: pushing colored cubes towards their corresponding tile. It's not as easy as it sounds since there are a few different ways that the game makes things tricky, but a dedicated player will be able to solve all the levels and get a full set of Gamerscore in just a few hours.

Cubot: The Complexity of Simplicity is available for $1.99.

  • Man, Refunct had me stumped several times.
  • Really? I thought it was fairly alright to get through. But obviously puzzle games are harder or easier for different people...some types of puzzles are harder than others, etc. At any rate a guide can be used 👀
  • Agreed, first time was about finding everything but, the 2nd time, I grabbed the 8min achievement with out a problem, might try to finish them up tonight. I didn't find it hard but, finding some things got tricky, till I went back through areas.
  • I don't understand. So, people are going out of their way to play random games because they easily offer gamerscore points? Which basically are just for bragging? Does anyone see this as pointless?
  • You haven't seen the craze ps fans have for their trophies.
  • As strange as it is to me too, you’d be surprised at how popular this stuff is.
  • It's a gamer thing. It's like having a rep for anything you do in life. A higher gamers score kind of gives you respect by a lot of gamers. Although some of these games are cheap, most are not bad games just quick play through but, enjoyable for the most part. I really enjoyed Refunct, even though it was really short...
  • There was a free game in the store a while.back, not sure if it's still around, that had some really easy achievements called Ben Hur. The game is pretty terrible but i pulled like 800 points out of it in less than an hour. It's a chariot racing game.
  • Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious. If I remember correctly almost 100 points per race.
  • Hmm....going to have to try this one...
  • Good article. Does anyone know if there are similar titles for games on Windows PC where u can get achievements like this?
  • If you mean Windows 10, I’m not sure, but Steam has many games like this (and quite a few of the ones on this list, too!)
  • Grabbed Refunct...looked interesting and for $3, who cares. I found it really enjoyable, although your first play Through, might take you an hour or so, so you can find everything (all cubes and stepping on all platforms). Then you get big achievements for doing the main missions as fast as possible. One doing it under 8min and it's a 200g and another 200g for doing it under 4min. It's a quick game but, it was enjoyable.
  • Just looked up reviews for a few of them... Firewatch is said to be amazing with 9+ out of 10 reviews everywhere. Very adult based content and discussion... I am going to have to buy this one...
  • You can also give "Super Lucky's Tale" a try for easy to get achievements. Completing levels with all 4 clovers (which are easy to get on first try, if not second try) is one of the best ways to get all achievements in that game!
That game is also part of Xbox Game Pass, making it a low cost Gamerscore farming game.
