Battlefield V now available through EA Access

What you need to know

  • Battlefield V is getting new maps throughout the summer.
  • You'll get a chance to fight in France and Greece.
  • It's now available with EA Access.
  • You can purchase the game for $30 on Amazon.

Even though Battlefield V failed to set the charts on fire, it's still a thrilling game which builds upon Battlefield 1. The title has received numerous updates over the past few months, and this month it's about to get even better. Luckily, you can also start playing it today with your EA Access membership.

EA Access is a monthly subscription service that costs $5 a month. It not only gives you discounts on all EA games, but it comes with a number of titles in "The Vault." Older experiences are added to The Vault, and you can play them for no additional charge as long as you're an EA Access member. Today, Battlefield V joined The Vault.

According to developer DICE, starting on June 27, Chapter 4: Defying the Odds will evolve Battlefield V with new maps rolling out throughout the summer. You can continue the Battle of Greece on the narrow streets of Marita and face all-out war on the vast Al Sundan map. You can also get up-close and personal in Provence and Lofoten. There's a lot more content on the horizon, so now's a great time to play it through EA Access.

In our review, we said, "The lack of polish in some of the systems will get improved with patches, but the missed opportunities with the campaign content frustrate the full package. But ultimately, this is one of the best multiplayer shooters you will play this year, and maybe the best until the next Battlefield."
