While many of the best 4K TVs for Xbox Series X and Series S are expensive, you don't have to break the bank to get a good television for your console. The TCL 6-Series R635 was already our best budget pick for the Xbox Series X and S. Now it's discounted for a limited time. The 55-inch model is down to $800 right now through Best Buy, which is $150 less than its normal price. The 65-inch ($1,200) and 75-inch ($1,600) models are also on sale.

The TCL R635 has 4K resolution and supports all major HDR standards, including HDR10, Dolby Vision, and HLG. It also supports variable refresh rate (VRR) up to 120Hz. The TV's THX-certified game mode optimizes its image around reducing latency.

There are some drawbacks with the TCL R635. While the TV supports 4K and a 120Hz refresh rate, it only supports HDMI 2.0, which prevents the television from reaching both simultaneously. You can use the TV at 1440p resolution at 120Hz or 4K resolution at 60Hz. This means the TV is better suited for the Xbox Series S, which targets 1440p gameplay at 120Hz. On the Series S, you'll still be able to watch 4K movies as films generally aren't above 60Hz.

There aren't a ton of games that support 4K resolution at 120Hz, so even if you have an Xbox Series X, the TCL R635 is a nice budget-friendly option.
