Cracking chat, Jez. So much nicer having a group of people that know their subject matter. There aren't too many I listen to, has to be something worth it. There are only a couple of YouTubers I can cope with. Some nice insights here. Game Pass is an interesting model, I always wonder what gets paid for, and how they strike deals with Devs. For me, I think that it makes sense to get blockbuster games in there, like Red Dead. The die hards have already had it, can't be as many sales left. As for game announcements, hope they come soon. That Xbox All Access deal, that is a superb way to get people in. Spencer was plugging it during the IGN interview.

Aye, it's all about meeting customers everywhere. Larger install base for devs, more people to play with on multiplayer, more clout for getting games, it's a solid stsrategy.

I just wish, as you and Rand talked about a few times, that they didn't treat the rest of the Western world (non-North America + UK) as if we didn't exist. People would love to have All Access as an option in France, Germany, Switzerland, etc. It would be a killer deal. It probably won't happen and it's a damn shame.
They need to be bold to claw the huge market share they lost back. It's either gonna be price of entry and/or services. All Access should definitely be part of the plan. -
From Phil's comments, during the IGN chat, I'd expect it would be an option in most markets. Possibly why Game Pass has gone to Japan, as it leverages the fact Game Pass is included. I assumed it was in most territories. I'll be honest, as I've not been looking to buy a console over the last few years, I'd actually thought that it was something only available in US. Literally a couple of months ago, I noticed it for UK. I was very impressed, so assumed it was everywhere, certainly EU at least. Based on what Phil said, they must be having a push for it in more regions. Makes sense.
