Xbox Game Pass continues to expand its monstrously huge library of Xbox titles as it has just announced the second wave of games coming and leaving the service for the second half of April 2026 and beyond.

The headliner of the new batch of games is Vampire Crawlers, a turn-based spin-off of Vampire Survivors, an award-winning roguelike that took the world by storm in 2022 and continues to do so to this day.

While I haven't played much Vampire Survivors, I do know my good friend and diehard Vampire Survivors expert, Jennifer Young, recently reviewed Vampire Crawlers and gave it a standing ovation of 4.5/5 stars.

It takes all the addictive gameplay elements of Vampire Survivors and adapts it into a first-person dungeon crawler/deckbuilder with fast-paced, turn-based combat.

Its combat system feels gratifying, it has tons of build variety when creating decks, and it has a vast wealth of strategic depth with the inclusion of the Evolution and gem-slotting systems.

So, if you enjoy Vampire Survivors and roguelike deckbuilders like Incryption, I have a strong feeling this title will be a Game of the Year contender for you. I know Jennifer Young certainly does when she called it a "yet another addictive pixelated masterpiece".

As for me, I'm looking forward to playing Final Fantasy V on Xbox Game Pass. Despite having a very basic "good vs. evil" plot, Final Fantasy V is one of my favorite entries in the Final Fantasy series purely for its gameplay.

It perfected the classic Job system, the music was unforgettable, it was packed with secrets, the turn-based battles were challenging and fun, and it can be pretty funny at times.

So, I can't wait to relive my nostalgia for this underrated installment when Final Fantasy V lands on Xbox Game Pass on May 5, 2026.
