This fast-paced and blood-drenched FPS is still my favorite DOOM game of all-time — Even after five years, it puts the rest of the series to shame

The DOOM franchise has had an amazing comeback over the past decade, with each entry taking players on cathartic and chaotic adventures, ripping and tearing demons apart.

Out of all DOOM's modern games, the lightning-fast, absurd, and brutally challenging DOOM: Eternal remains my absolute favorite, and its PC version is now on sale for $9.49 at Loaded (formerly CDKeys).

Why is DOOM: Eternal still one of the craziest FPS games of all time?

When it comes to modern DOOM games, people swear fealty to DOOM (2016), DOOM: Eternal, or DOOM: The Dark Ages.

Each of these games is amazing in its own way, but I personally love DOOM: Eternal the most for its over-the-top story glorifying the DOOM Slayer, its insanely detailed and artistically intense locales that look like a heavy metal album cover come to life, and its absurdly fast-paced combat that will put you in the dirt the moment you let your guard down.

I mean it when I say this game is tough, even on the default difficulty level, as you will be constantly assaulted by armies of demons that are utterly relentless.

What's more is that this game has a large variety of demonic foes, each of which has its own unique set of attacks and gimmicks you need to outsmart if you want to stay alive.

Fortunately, DOOM: Eternal has some of the coolest and deadliest weapons in the entire franchise for you to use and new mobility tools to help you avoid certain death in combat and traverse each level's insane platforming segments to uncover secret collectibles.

To sum up, I love this game and I will always recommend it to first-person shooter fanatics looking for extremely fast-paced gameplay, satisfyingly explosive weapons, and so much blood-drenched gore it would make Mortal Kombat look tame by comparison.

So, if you haven't played this modern gem yet and are up for some ripping and tearing of demon guts this Halloween weekend, then head on over to Loaded (formerly CDKeys) to take advantage of this sweet 87% discount that has reduced DOOM: Eternal's price from $70.69 to $9.49.
