Is it a good time to upgrade to a new Windows 11 laptop?

Windows 10 reached its end-of-life stage in October, leaving plenty of Windows users with a PC that no longer receives security and feature updates.

That makes Cyber Monday the ideal time to upgrade to a Windows 11 PC without paying full price. I'm seeing some of the lowest prices of the year.

When is Cyber Monday 2025?

Cyber Monday is today, December 1, 2025. It's essentially the final day of the whole Black Friday ordeal, and I expect most prices will return to normal by tomorrow.

Should I avoid laptops with 8GB of RAM?

In most cases, having more than 8GB of RAM in your PC is recommended. However, if you're shopping for a new laptop for casual use, you might find the right price on a system with 8GB of RAM. It won't be as good at multitasking, but it will handle light tasks like browsing, email, and homework.
