Kingdom Hearts III gets dramatic story trailer ahead of January launch

Kingdom Hearts III is coming to Xbox One on January 29, 2019 with Xbox One X enhancements in tow. The title runs at 60 FPS on Microsoft's new console. Recently, the game went up for preorder on the system for $59.99. New trailers keep on popping up which showcase the different Disney worlds.

Kingdom Hearts III is an action role-playing game that combines the universes of various Disney franchises and Final Fantasy. It sounds almost like it shouldn't work, but somehow, it just does, and the franchise has won itself millions of fans around the world. This is the latest entry in this long-running series which has been mostly exclusive to Nintendo and PlayStation systems up until now.

Kingdom Hearts III follows a rather intricate story. Having learned that all their struggles thus far were engineered by Master Xehanort in his plot to start another Keyblade War, Sora and his friends continue their search for seven guardians of light capable of standing against the coming darkness. King Mickey and Riku seek out Keyblade veterans from the past, while Sora, Donald, and Goofy begin a new odyssey across dimensions to claim the "power of waking".

For the first time in a Kingdom Hearts game, Sora will travel across Pixar and other exciting new Disney worlds that lend the story a grander scale than ever before. The battle system also reaches new heights with upgraded mechanics, theme park attractions, and spectacular team-up moves.
