Nier: Automata possibly coming to Xbox One soon
Rumors of Nier: Automata coming to Xbox One are gaining traction again.

Nier: Automata is an action game which takes place in the distant future. Invaders from another world attack without warning, unleashing a new type of threat known as "machine lifeforms". In the face of this insurmountable foe, mankind is driven from Earth and takes refuge on the Moon. The Council of Humanity organizes a resistance of android soldiers in an effort to take back the planet. To break the deadlock, the group deploys a new unit of android infantry known as the "YoRHa".
Jeuxvideo.com, the outlet that originally leaked Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy for Xbox One, recently said that a source familiar with the game told the team that Nier: Automata was coming to Microsoft's console.

As with any such rumor, take it with a grain of salt until we have confirmation from Square Enix. However, it falls in line with what we've been hearing as well. We've reached out to the publisher for comment and shall update you as soon as we receive a response.
Recently, Head of Xbox Phil Spencer said that Microsoft was working with Japanese publishers to bring more of their titles to the console. Maybe this is related to that endeavor. Nier: Automata launched in 2017 so it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility if the game turned out to be a timed PlayStation 4 console exclusive.

It wasn't a "timed exclusive" per say. They didn't have the budget to work on an Xbox version as well
-
"per se". Latin.
-
actually if I remember right, the dev spoke of a ''Possible'' xbox version a while back. the game had to do good on the platform it is on now.
-
it's on pc right? port to xb1 should be super easy right?
-
What about patching the PC version, they're above that?
-
But how about video driver updating? /sarcasm Looks like there was some conflict between publisher and studio that developed PC port so we got some workarounds instead of real patch. Anyway if they hired another studio to port the game to Xbox One but not to fix PC version at the same time...this will be an example of incredible greed and blatant lies from Square Enix.

Yeah, even with updated drivers, which me and everyone complaining about the crap in Nier PC have, it still has plenty rough edges. It's good to have workarounds but having to download unofficial utilities to make it work full screen for example, is unacceptable. It's an expensive AAA game. They've probably even made millions just selling PC copies. So I shouldn't be the one working to tinker the game into an acceptable state.

Seriously just bought it on ps4 ugh I'll buy the xbox one version of it come out
-
The PS4 Pro version runs at 1080p despite being "enhanced". I'll wait for the Xbox One X version to be honest. I'm sure it'll run at either 4K or some higher resolution.
-
I'll certainly purchase the game if it comes out on Xbox.
