Nokia Lumia 800 available from 16th onwards depending on colour

We've been in touch with Three UK after they announced stocking the Nokia Lumia 800 (opens in new tab). While the 16th has been announced as the date when the handset will be made available, it's interesting to note that (on Three UK at least) the carrier is only stocking the Cyan and Black colours of the 800 and the dates of availability seem to differ between the choice of colour:

  • Black Nokia 800 - 16th November
  • Cyan Nokia 800 - 28th November

Quite a large gap, we must say. Have you ordered the Nokia 800 and noticed a delivery delay elsewhere?

  • Any news yet on all those free phones to developers they were talking about?!
  • So is any operator in the uk getting the red one?
  • In The Netherlands I can only pre-order the black and pink Lumia 800. The cyan version isn't available yet either (as far as I know).
  • This is the most difficult phone to pre-order an unlocked version of. I don't expect sales to go very well. Nokia is finished.
  • woah there, let me hold you back from jumping to that conclusion.they shifted 450 million phones in 2010. 450.... MILLIONhardly finished wouldn't you say :)the cut down wp7, cheaper components + glamorous high end devices will allow Nokia to attack both ends of the market.i wish them luck anyway, I like choice, we need more companies to stay afloat. yer - even RIM :)
  • Yes and Samsung sold what a billion. I just don't see Nokia making big waves here. I do like the look of the Lumia, but only really because it's a different color, but it's really no different from my Omnia 7. I was gonna buy one but the whole process was a big pain in the **** here in the states. Without even having one, I have grown tired of the Lumia 800. If Nokia were smart they'd just sell them directly from their website. And I love Windows Phones and I wish them great success. But Nokia is a joke. Buy a turn by turn navigation and get a colored case and it's the same phone we already have.
