Recently, Microsoft posted a listing for Red Dead Redemption 2 on the Microsoft Store that revealed the preorder bonuses. According to the page, those who preorder the game get access to "The War Horse", "The Outlaw Survival Kit", "Cash Bonus for Red Dead Redemption 2 Story Mode", and "Bonus GTA$500,000 to spend immediately in Grand Theft Auto Online". However, if you preorder before July 31, 2018, you can get an exclusive "Treasure Map for Red Dead Redemption 2 Story Mode".
While these additions might not be game-changing, they still offer some nice perks. The treasure map sounds particularly useful because you can easily locate stashes that way. Considering that the page went up on the Microsoft Store, it's safe to assume that the game will be available for digital preorder soon.
Red Dead Redemption 2 tells a personal story. After a robbery goes wrong in the town of Blackwater, Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are forced to flee. With federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation massing on their heels, the gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive. As deepening internal divisions threaten to tear the gang apart, Arthur must make a choice between his own ideals and loyalty to the gang who raised him.
Red Dead Redemption 2 should launch on October 26 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 systems. We'll keep you posted as soon as the developer shares actual gameplay. It's unclear what the resolution or frame rate will be on Xbox One X, but we do know that the game is getting enhanced for the console.
Updated June 3, 2018: Microsoft removed the preorder page from the store.
