Sea of Thieves is an exploration-based pirate game which launched on March 20, 2018. Rare is known for many famous franchises including Banjo-Kazooie, Conker, and GoldenEye. However, in recent years, the team focused on developing Kinect games for Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Today, Rare released the "Forsaken Shores" expansion for the game. The download not only adds a new volcanic region with boiling water, but it also adds the long-awaited rowboat. There are new cosmetic items to collect and mysteries to uncover as well. Your goal appears to be to discover the fates of the crew that originally ventured into "The Devil's Roar".

Sea of Thieves is currently available for $59.99 through various retailers, but it's free for Xbox Game Pass subscribers.

  • This is gonna be a good one. The game is building up content that expands the whole experience beyond the release. And this makes it grow exponentially.
  • Best thing about this expansion, is everyone is doing it so I don't have to worry about getting murdered carting chickens around.
