The Seagate Barracuda 120 1TB solid state drive is down to $99.99 on Amazon. The same drive was selling for $124 for most of February and before that. Late last year it was selling for around $110. Either way, today's drop is a match for a deal we've only seen a couple times before. This is a price match of the same deal going on over at B&H, but the drive is going for closer to $140 at other retailers like Newegg.

The Barracuda is a super fast, super easy to use solid state drive. You will get sequential read and write speeds up to 560 MB/s and 550 MB/s respectively. Seagate's 3D TLC NAND technology can maximize all the possible available speeds availablt to a SATA drive. The only way to get anything faster than this would be to pay through the nose for an M.2 NVMe drive. So, if you want reliability and a burst of speed on a budget, look no further.
The durability built into these drives means they will las tyou a very long time, too. The MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) is 1.8 million hours, which is huge. Plus they can handle up to 600 terabytes written. Seagate backs them up with a five-year warranty, too. The company has faith it will last you that long as well.
Use Seagate's SeaTools SSD software. It can monitor your drive's performance and keep an eye on its health, letting you take action when it finally starts to decay somewhere down the road. You'll also be able to get firmware updates, diagnostics, and management logs.
