What you need to know

  • Second Extinction is a first-person shooter where players mow down mutated dinosaurs.
  • The game is being developed by Systemic Reaction, a subsidiary of Avalanche Studios.
  • During IGN's Summer of Gaming event today, eleven minutes of new gameplay footage was revealed.

Bear in mind, this is extremely early development footage, so things aren't as detailed and complex as they could be later on. You can take a look at the gameplay below.

While there's no release date right now, the developers did mention in today's gameplay video that a release date is coming soon, so we'll be on the lookout for that announcement. Whenever Second Extinction does arrive, it's coming to Xbox Series X, Xbox One and PC.
