Step up your game with the Alienware 25 1080p monitor discounted to $280

The Alienware 25 AW2518HF 25-inch 1080p 240Hz LED FreeSync monitor (opens in new tab) has dropped to $279.99 at Newegg. That's more than $30 off the price on Amazon (opens in new tab) and closer to $50 off its regular street price and what it's going for at Dell (opens in new tab). The screen has been regularly selling for around $330 recently has only dropped this low once or twice ever. Considering the G-Sync version goes for $430 even on Amazon (opens in new tab), and the FreeSync version now works with G-Sync anyway, this is a worthy deal.

Would you like a Hertz Donut? Pow! Hurts, don't it?

The Alienware 25 uses a TN panel because these offer the fastest response times. They sacrifice the viewing angles of an IPS panel and the contrast ratio of VA, but if what you're interested in is competitive gaming, this is the way to go. It has a response time under 1ms and refresh rate of 240Hz. It also has AMD's FreeSync technology, although it is a bit disappointing the pixel resolution is only 1080p. This would be the perfect monitor in 4K. On Amazon, users give it 4.4 stars based on 235 reviews (opens in new tab).
