The Thrifter team noticed Microsoft doing something crazy - a huge discount on Xbox One S bundles that includes Destiny 2 as a free add-on game!

With the Xbox One X right around the corner (and sometimes available for pre-order), the days of the Xbox One S are numbered. Microsoft knows this, which is why tons of Xbox One S bundles are getting discounted right now.

All you have to do is pick the starting game you want, whether that's Halo Wars 2, Gears of War 4, Madden NFL 18, or something else. Then you pick the size or special edition you want, if there are different options. (Gears of War 4, for example, has bundles ranging from 500GB to 2TB.) Then you pick two free games from two pre-determined lists (the first list includes Destiny 2).

Some of the bundles aren't quite available yet because they feature games that haven't been released like Shadow of War or the bundle is a limited edition like Minecraft. If those are what interest you, bookmark the page.

We shared a deal similar to this last week on the Battlefield 1 Special Edition. Well, they've already dropped that bundle and other Battlefield 1 bundles another $50 since then. That's how you know these are the best prices we've seen yet.

Each bundle comes with exclusive extras for the game you start with. The Halo Wars 2 bundle comes with a digital code for the Halo Wars 2 season pass and a code for the original Halo Wars. The Madden NFL 18 bundle comes with a discount code for 20% off at NFLShop.com. Each bundle is different so be sure to pick your favorite one!

With all of that, you still get to choose two free games from a list of some of the Xbox's best available games at the moment. The first list includes Destiny 2, Madden NFL 18, For Honor, and Forza Horizon 3. The second list includes The Crew, Hasbro Family Fun Pack, Just Dance 2016, and The Division.

Destiny 2 is a brand new game that doesn't release until Sept 6, and it's going to be a big one. It's pretty crazy you can get it for free here.

At the end of the bundle page is a "Frequently Bought Together" section, but you can find almost all the items in that list for cheaper elsewhere. For example, you can get an extra controller for just $40 on Amazon and 15 months of Xbox Live for just $56.
