Microsoft may have chosen to skip holding a keynote to reveal its new Surface Book 2, but the new laptop did get its own reveal video with a decidedly spacey theme. Check it out above.
The new Surface Book 2 comes with a number improvements over the original, packing in some significant power. The most obvious upgrade is a move to Intel's eighth-generation quad-core processors and the option for NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 or 1060 graphics. The Surface Book 2 is also the first Surface to sport a USB-C port, something that fans have been hoping for as USB-C becomes more ubiquitous. Microsoft also claims up to 17 hours of battery life, and even the fulcrum hinge has been reworked to be sturdier.
Surface Book 2 comes in two sizes, a 13-inch model, and a 15-inch model, and it will be available starting at $1,499 on November 16 in the U.S. with more markets to come. Microsoft says the Surface Book 2 will go on preorder starting November 9.
