I've owned Duo 1 and Duo 2 from day one...and I pretty much agree on all points. The software is NOT an impediment at this point. The form factor is definitely a "vision" decision for user. One I totally am in on. That being said most people who see it have no idea what it is...and always ask if it is a Samsung. Not going to sell many if no one knows about it (since most US folks get phones from carriers then they don't really know about it). Going forward I would love to see wireless charging in Duo 3...and perhaps make the Surface Duo 2 Pen Cover be e-ink to show notifications and allow you to answer calls (even if it crushes the battery like the current one)? I am not a big fan of the glance bar since it is so small and angle for viewing is tough. I love the better camera but really miss it opening flat like Duo 1. All that being said I love this thing and am already sad to think they will drop it after the next version...so I can add it into the heap with my Lumia devices, Bands, etc.
It still has some dumb functionality that needs to be addressed. For one, why do notifications pop up on a screen with content that you're using when they should default to the empty screen to the left or right? That's so annoying.
