WPCentral Holiday Gift Guide: General Accessories

WP Central Gift Guide

Happy Holidays everyone! With the holiday's fast approaching, everyone is looking for gift ideas. We've touch on accessories for the car and Windows Phones as gift ideas. Now we'll offer some suggestions for general accessories such as cases, earphones, and the such.

To see what we'd recommend, hop on past the break.

Cases

Everyone can use a new case for their Windows Phone but the challenge we face is that with all the new Windows Phones hitting the market, cases may not be available. There is a decent assortment of cases for the first generation Windows Phones over at the WPCentral Accessory Store and a few are trickling in for the newer phones.

Side Cases such as the Ecolife Hydro Case ($22.95) have been popular and I have found that the cases fitted for the HTC HD7S can also handle the Samsung Focus S and HTC Titan. Top cases such as the Smartphone Experts Top Case ($19.95) is another popular model with the case for the Samsung Focus being able to handle the Samsung Focus Flash and HTC Radar.

Then you have the Golla line of cases ($10.95 and up) that will add dash of color to your Windows Phones and the hard-shell cases ($12.95 and up) that add a layer of protection to your Windows Phone.

Wired Earphones

For the Windows Phone user who enjoys listening to music a good set of stereo headphones is always a welcomed gift. From the Noisehush NX80 ($29.95) to the Qmadix Qi-7 ($66.95) headsets, the WPCentral Accessory Store has a wide range of earphones that will provide quality sound to your Windows Phone tunes.

Wireless Earpieces

Bluetooth headsets, whether it is an earpiece or stereo headset, are another great gift idea. While there are plenty of options to choose from, these wireless accessories stand out.

Jabra Stone2: With its unique design, the Jabra Stone2 stands out on its own (here's our review). The low profile earpiece is comfortable to wear and provide quality audio performance. The Stone2 features voice control to allow the user to answer or reject calls, caller id, and comes with its own portable charger. Equipped with Noise Blackout Extreme technology, the Jabra Stone2 reduces background noise nicely. You can find the Jabra Stone2 for $89.95 here at the WPCentral Accessory Store.

Jawbone Icon: Jawbone is known for it's noise reduction technology and the Jawbone ICON is a compact BT earpiece that makes use of this technology extremely well (our review is here). The ICON features audio alerts, audio caller id, and multi-point technology (connects to two phones at once). The NoiseAssassin technology was originally developed for use in tanks and helicopters virtually eliminates all background noise. The ICON is a compact, comfortable to wear, feature rich BT earpiece to consider. You can find the Jawbone ICON here at the WPCentral Accessory Store for $59.95.

Motorola MOTOROKR S10HD headphones: If you're looking for a set of wireless stereo headphones, check out the Motorola S10HD (our review). The headphones provide high definition audio for amazingly rich sound. The headphones are designed to be light, comfortable and sweat proof. The headphones will also let you take calls while listening to the music. You can find the Motorola MOTOROKR S10HD headphones here at the Accessory Store for $74.95.

Stocking Stuffers

Here are a few gift ideas that would make for great stocking stuffers.

Wall Chargers: Everyone can use a spare wall charger for their Windows Phone. Whether your traveling on business, at the office or on vacation a spare wall charger can come in handy. There are several models to choose from that start around $9 in price. You can find the full listing of wall chargers here at the WPCentral Accessory Store.

Tripod Mounts: With the camera quality improving with every new generation of Windows Phones, they will be used more and more. The iStabilizer Smartphone Tripod Mount is being offered over at Amazon.com that runs $19.99 and will handle everything from the Samsung Focus Flash to the HTC Titan. Add a Joby Gorillapod and you have an easy way to stabilize your Windows Phone for group shots, landscapes or any other types of shots that requires a steady hand.

For the hard core videographers, you can use the iStabilizer Video Mount ($87.45) stabilizer to eliminate the shakes with video footage.

Emergency Chargers: These are small, portable chargers that can come in handy when you're out in the middle of nowhere and there's not an electrical outlet in sight. The Motorola P790 ($19.95) is such an option that you charge before hand and will provide one to two full battery charges to your Windows Phone.  I was a solid performer when we reviewed it and it should make for a nice stocking stuffer.

Those are just a few of the ideas out there for accessory gift ideas. Feel free to share your gift ideas in the comments or add your own Holiday wish list.
