Nokia adds Bluetooth support to Lumia exclusive Contacts Share

Contacts Share

Nokia has released an update to its Contact Share app, which is exclusively available from the Nokia Collection for Lumia Windows Phones. The app enables consumers to send and receive contacts. Email and SMS was previously supported, but the latest update implements Bluetooth capabilities for smartphones running Windows Phone 7.8.

We last looked at the exclusive app back when it was released in July last year. What's great about Contacts Share is that it sends contact files in vCard format, which is supported by a wide selection of mobile devices, including Symbian, Android, iOS and BlackBerry. The added Bluetooth support is all we've noticed, so be sure to add anything you've found in the latest update in a comment below.

Do note that sharing profile photos is only possible via email or Bluetooth. You can download Contacts Share from the Nokia Collection on the Windows Phone Store. Thanks to everyone who tipped us!

Nokia adds Bluetooth support to Lumia exclusive Contacts Share

Is this available for WP8?  When I click the link using my 920, it says "This app uses features your phone doesn't have."

The article says that the update adds a feature for windows 7.8, not whether the app is 7 exclusive.

Before anyone bitches about "how exclusivity ruins the OS", this feature is designed and built by Nokia team.

Why Nokia exclusive? So you'll buy a Nokia phone. Why else would the make apps at all??? They're not trying to sell Samsung or HTC phones. DOH!

I used the 920 and downloaded this app to get contacts from customers old phone. This app was able to do this for a while.
