Popular Indian music streaming service Gaana continues updating their Windows Phone app

89

If you have never heard of the Gaana.com, it only means you are not in India. The service is one of three in that country, letting people worldwide stream free and licensed music in 21 different languages (thank you, Wikipedia). It competes with Saavn and Hungama with Saavn grabbing most of Bollywood's music catalog lately. Gaana now focuses on a lot of regional stuff, as a result.

Anyway, the developers behind the Windows Phone app have been going on a tear this last week, overhauling the app to bring it more in line with iOS and Android. This after nearly a year without an update, so yeah, a big deal.

Ultimate Torch - a simple Windows Phone flashlight app from the developers of myAppFree

51

While there are plenty of flashlight apps in the Windows Phone Store, Ultimate Torch is a simple option worth considering that has a bit of flare to it.

The Windows Phone app comes to us from the developers of myAppFree and has a very clean interface along with a Batman mode to give the app a little personality. Ultimate Torch makes a nice first impression and if you are in the market for a Windows Phone flashlight app, you'll want to check it out.

The Office 365 Admin app hits version 2.0 today for Windows Phone

24

If you work as an Office 365 IT administrator, then the official Office 365 Admin app from Microsoft should be on your quick list of apps for Windows Phone. The app lets you "manage your users including resetting their passwords. In addition, you can also read the latest messages from Message Center, the central location for Office 365 service communications and view any active service support requests."

Today, the Office 365 Admin app is getting bumped to version 2.0. The last time we mentioned the app was back in November 2013, so this update is a welcomed one. Did someone say makeover?

We're celebrating the Xbox launch of Oddworld: New n' Tasty with an exclusive interview and code giveaway!

260

Oddworld: New n' Tasty - the remake of the legendary PS1 title Abe's Oddysee is available now on the Xbox One store.

For those who don't know, Abe's Oddysee was a unique puzzle platformer from Oddworld Inc, and saw players guide the hapless mudokon Abe through a massive labyrinth of industrial plants, ancient temples and deadly wilderness. The original was crammed with secrets, and combat centred around evasion or luring enemies into environmental hazards.

Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee is one of my all-time favourite games, and it's with some excitement that I present my Q&A session with Bennie Terry, Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty Executive Producer for Xbox One.

Sports Jeopardy for Windows Phone - Doubling down on the Daily Double

1

Sports Jeopardy is a relatively new Windows Phone game that takes you on the set of the popular television game show Jeopardy to test your knowledge of the sports world.

The game follows the same format as the TV game show, has customizable characters, online gaming modes and some rather challenging trivia questions. While Sports Jeopardy is available for low-memory devices, the game has the potential of being a fantastic Windows Phone trivia game to test your sports knowledge. Unfortunately several performance issues are present that holds this game back considerably. At least on the Windows Phone side of the aisle.
