FAQ
Why are so many GPUs on sale for a price above MSRP?
NVIDIA and AMD set an MSRP based on their own reference specs. For NVIDIA, its Founders Edition cards are priced at that MSRP, as are AMD's reference cards (which it didn't produce for the RX 9000 series).
Either way, NVIDIA and AMD's board partners take those specs and build their own GPU around them. In many cases, these third-party GPUs offer improved cooling and overclocking abilities, additional RGB lighting, and funky designs.
These adjustments drive the price up beyond the MSRP that NVIDIA and AMD have set. That means that you can't always rely on the MSRP comparison — it's often better to look at previous low prices, which I've included for each GPU deal here.
When is Cyber Monday 2025?
Cyber Monday falls on December 1, 2025, just three days after Black Friday. I'm expecting to see most deals carry through over the weekend, and there are usually additional discounts that pop up on Monday.
When does Cyber Monday start on Amazon?
Cyber Monday has already started on Amazon US, with its promotional messaging shifting away from Black Friday in the early hours of Saturday morning, on November 29, 2025, and is expected to last until the end of Monday, December 1, 2025.
Is Cyber Monday a better time than Black Friday to buy a new GPU?
Cyber Monday has so far been mostly the same as Black Friday in terms of GPU pricing. Although there could be some surprises that pop up today, I don't suggest waiting around if you see a card that fits your build.
Why are GPU prices expected to rise?
GPU prices are expected to rise again due to a memory shortage caused by AI. AMD has already stated that it's looking into giving its Radeon GPUs a flat 10% price hike, and I can only surmise that NVIDIA will follow suit at some point.
That makes Cyber Monday an ideal opportunity to pick up a new GPU before that price hike.
