It's not exactly a shock, but a new report says that Microsoft has ended production of the Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet. The device is the last product made that used the ARM-based Windows RT as its operating system.
If you've been eyeing Nokia's Windows RT-powered Lumia 2520 tablet, you can now grab it for $99 with a two-year contract by ordering on Amazon. The deal appears to only be valid for the AT&T-powered tablet and not the Verizon one at this time. Without a contract, the tablet retails for $569 on Amazon.
The Lumia 2520 tablet may be nearly a year old, but there is new evidence that T-Mobile plans to offer the Windows RT 8.1 device to its business customers. Today, the tablet was spotted as part on one of the wireless carrier's business-themed websites.
We're pretty late to this deal, but it's certainly worth covering if you're able to make a purchase within the next two days. UK retailer John Lewis has the Lumia 2520 Windows 8.1 RT tablet listed for just £249.95, which is a full £150 off the normal price.
The Lumia 2520 tablet has recently been rumored to be heading to T-Mobile, and now there's a little more evidence to that fact. A new fact sheet has appeared that outlines key features of the device, the specs, and the productivity support.
The Lumia 2520 Windows RT 8.1 tablet is set to head to T-Mobile US, according to a leak from @evleaks. The tablet is already available on both Verizon and AT&T, but this fails to offer consumers enough choice, especially if you're not currently with either carrier, nor have the desire to switch.
To avoid the risk of electrocution, Microsoft Mobile, formerly Nokia's devices group, has issued a recall of the travel charging kit for the Lumia 2520 tablet. The kit has charging prongs for the U.S., U.K., EU, and Australia. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission in the U.S., "the plastic cover on the charger's exchangeable plugs can come loose and separate, exposing internal components that pose an electrocution hazard if touched while the plug remains in a live socket."
Microsoft is offering £80 worth of Amazon vouchers to consumers who were unfortunately affected by the Nokia Lumia 2520 charger issues. We've been alerted to an email being sent out with a code for anyone who was affected and registered with the support system. As well as sending out replacement chargers for the Windows tablet (and offering the voucher), Nokia is asking consumers return the original chargers in supplied packaging.
The Lumia 2520 is officially launching tomorrow, with orders kicking off for a May 18th release. The Windows RT 8.1 tablet will be available in black with a price tag of $840 in an exclusive deal with Australia's Telstra. Nokia's first device in the tablet category of hardware comes packed full of features, including a 1080p HD display, LTE connectivity and Zeiss optics.
Nokia is temporarily halting sales of its Lumia 2520 tablet in several countries due to a risk of electric shock when using the chargers. An issue with the plastic exchangeable plug could cause the plug to come loose and separate on the European and U.K. version of the Lumia's AC-300 charger, which poses a risk of electric shock. Nokia notes that there haven't been any confirmed instances of shocks delivered by a faulty charger, but they're still urging consumers to stop using those chargers until Nokia is able to send a replacement.
The Nokia Lumia 2520 is now available for pre-order at Carphone Warehouse. The UK retailer is offering an enticing deal: a free Power Keyboard included with the asking price. The 4G LTE Windows RT tablet is available SIM-free for £399 in red. John Lewis has had exclusivity of the Nokia tablet since late November last year.

We love it whenever we spot our favorite gadgets on TV shows, movies, or even music videos. Jenny from the block, or otherwise known as Jennifer Lopez or JLo, shows off the Nokia Lumia 2520 in her latest music video, “I Luh You Papi.” Head past the break to watch the video and pay closer attention after the second minute.

Those who ordered Nokia Lumia 2520 tablets in the U.S. a few months ago have recently received their free Power Keyboards. If you missed out on the deal but still want the keyboard, you can now order it at the Microsoft Store online. It costs $149 with free shipping.
The Nokia Power Keyboard for the Lumia 2520 provides a physical keyboard input, an extra 2027 mAh battery, touch pad, and two full-sized USB ports. It also acts as a protective case for your Lumia 2520.
Rocking a Nokia Lumia 2520? It’s a killer tablet with an amazing display. And unlike the Surface 2, it’s truly mobile by incorporating LTE in the device. Add the Nokia Power Keyboard and you’ve got yourself a nice little mobile station for being productive. You might want to check out the Watson Wallet Folio from Incipio if you don’t plan on typing much on the Lumia 2520 and are still looking for a good case.
Did you order a Nokia Lumia 2520 a few months back? It’s a pretty awesome tablet and we’re big fans of it. If you pre-ordered here in the United States you were promised a certain extra goodie with your Lumia 2520. That bonus being the keyboard accessory for the Lumia 2520 that provides a keyboard (duh), two USB ports, and an extra 50% battery thanks to the included battery. After a few months of delay, the Nokia Power Keyboard is finally shipping.
We recently covered availability of the Lumia 2520 Power Keyboard at UK retailer John Lewis and now that same store has the accessory listed for £99, down from £149.95. The Power Keyboard protects your Lumia 2520 and provides a physical keyboard input, as well as an extra 2027mAh battery, touch pad, and two full-sized USB ports to expand options for connectivity.

Many Nokia Lumia 2520 owners have been waiting for the Nokia Power Keyboard to arrive and now the wait is over. Nokia have told us they started shipping to retailers last week and it appears John Lewis in the UK have them now at their online store. Currently, we only see the black keyboard in stock. We’ll keep checking if the red one shows up, too.
The Lumia 2520 is Nokia's first Windows 8 tablet, powering Microsoft's RT operating system. The product itself was unveiled back at Nokia World last year in Abu Dhabi, and while it has already launched in multiple markets, we've got some bad news for those who reside in the Philippines. According to NokiaRevolution, the company will not be releasing the Lumia 2520 in the region.

We’ve covered Nokia’s App Social before, it’s the great app on Lumia devices that makes app discovery a bit more social. It started out on Windows Phone as a product called App Highlights, but has morphed over time. It was only a matter of time, but App Social is now available on Windows 8. Let’s check it out.

The Nokia Lumia 2520 has been selling since November, but many of you are probably wondering about the Power Keyboard accessory. Where is it? The keyboard, which also features an extra battery, touch pad, and two full-sized USB ports, is still impossible to find. The good news is that you may not have to wait much longer. Nokia has just announced that the keyboards have started shipping in the UK and retailers will be receiving them soon.
