1 TB Xbox One console included with Call of Duty Advanced Warfare bundle for $499.99

Microsoft will sell an Xbox One with a 1 TB hard drive with its upcoming Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare bundle, which will also include custom artwork for the console itself as well as its controller, for the price of $499.99. This hard drive offer double the storage space compared to all previously released Xbox One consoles.

As you can see in the box image above, the console will have Advanced Warfare-based art, and the controller will have a custom design as well. Of course, the bundle will come with a free copy of Activision's latest game in the best selling first person shooter series. The bundle will sell for €499.99 in Europe, and will be priced at £429.99 in the UK. There's no word yet on when the bundle will go on sale.

What do you think of Microsoft increasing the hard drive space from 500 GB to 1 TB with this bundle?

  • So 100 dollars more for an Extra 500GB with a game that will run $60 sold separate? Sounds like a good deal to me.
  • Perfect deal....sounds too good.
  • Too bad I was an early adopter....
  • ^ I know your feels..that Day One edition sent me back in the finance department as well.
  • No Kinect, though, so a "no buy" for me.
  • Good deal for everybody. Even Microsoft makes more money off of that!
  • I don't see Kinect in the picture. So I think the $450 titan fall bundle they had going for a while was a much better deal.
  • But this is a custom themed CoD console. Titanfall bundle was a regular console. I guess in this case value is subjective to what you want.
  • How is this a good deal? The sunset bundle brings the game and a 500GB HDD so for $100 more you get an extra 500GB?
  • This is one nice looking system!
  • You're one nice looking hunk of man❗❗ .. Wink, Wink❕
  • That's so sweet dude...smh
  • SMH... Lol!
  • I think I'm going to wait for the Xbox One Slim. For many different reasons.
  • What if this "slim" never comes?
  • It'll come. It's inevitable. Manufacturing processes always shrink in time because that facilitates a need for less electricity and produces less heat output. Both of which are qualities everyone wants. It also allows Microsoft to rebrand/resell their console all over again.
  • I luv ppl waiting for unknown tech
  • 1030 here I come!!!! :D
  • My frnd don't waste ur hard earned money....wait for 1090!!!! :D
  • I love you too
  • If you wanna wait prob another 5yrs... Enjoy
  • I can wait for few more years, no in the hurry and so far my PS3 serve me very well.
  • Waiting for 1720
  • Lolz but 2020 is gonna come first!
  • Yea I probably will lol I don't need one now anyway
  • Hopefully this world still exists... Good luck!
  • That's kinda-sorta pretty. Too many decals for me though. Glad Microsoft is offering a 1TB bundle, but this particular game isn't for me. Maybe the Sunset overdrive bundle will be become my second system.
  • Why second system. What's your first system
  • My first system is a normal Xbox One with Kinect. I like to have at least two of the same console so we can play online games together in the same household. (We have four Xbox 360s!)
  • Microsoft is going all out on these bundles--Madden, FIFA, Sunset Overdrive, Call of Duty (wouldn't surprise me if a Halo:Master Chief bundle is announced at TGS)--which adds great value to new console purchases, but I have two concerns: 1. I don't have a lot of faith in the mass consumer to 'get' the value as most of them just see the cost as the cost (i.e. I believe there are a lot of consumers out there that see PS4 at $399 and Xbox One with Madden included at $399 but see them as evenly priced). I understand it's a lot more feasible, cost-wise to offer a console at $399 with a digital game included than it is to just cut the price of the console to $349, but I think the latter would move consoles faster. Just think of the fantastic deal that they offered in March with the Titanfall bundle with Kinect at $449, making it cheaper than the PS4 at $399 with no camera and no game. That thing should've blown the doors open on sales, yet PS4 still outsold Xbox One that month. Sigh. 2. More concerning to me is the lack of bundles that include Kinect. I understand they'll be selling it separately at that time, but it won't sell as well separately as it would bundled in, especially when they're offering all their console bundles only for the $399, non-Kinect version. Why not offer a complementary bundle with Kinect too? That is, instead of just selling a Call of Duty bundle without Kinect, why not sell two bundles, one with and one without? At the very least, they should bundle in Kinect Sport Rivals (I love this game, by the way; it's totally underrated) with the stand-alone Kinect that goes on sale. I understand that they were forced to unbundle the Kinect, but it really worries me how drastically they seem to have thrown it--and Kinect fans like me--under the bus. They didn't even mention the word Kinect at their E3 conference and, not having had a chance to watch the Gamescom event yet, I'm assuming they didn't even mention it there either. Now they're releasing a ton of bundles that don't include the Kinect, which will further decrease the attachment rate it has to the overall userbase. I wish they'd still publicly express support for the peripheral. Lots of good things have come from its technology.
  • The mass consumer will get the value they deem best for them. If that's a bundle with a Kinect, they will inform MS that's what they want. If the Xbone"s price is slashed to $199 and the PS4 continues to outsell it, then so be it.
  • I'm actually pretty cynical about the mass consumer. I'm not convinced that most of them know what they're doing, know what they want, have adequately researched comparable products, and understand all the features and options of those products that affect the value of it. Most people just buy crap because of hearsay. Most people have no idea what their phones, computers, etc. are capable of. I hear people all the time talking at restaruants with their friends about 'how great this [insert device] is because it can do [insert feature that they think is exclusive but that every other device has also been able to do for a long time]". Or, I show super intelligent people--people with PhDs, mind you--some of the things that Windows 8 can do that they had no idea it could do. They had merely heard from a bunch of other ignoramuses that "Windows 8 sucks because it can't do [insert feature that it can do]" and believe it. Maybe I'm wrong and most consumers are well informed, but my qualitative evidence, and circumstantial evidene suggest that most consumers are uninformed lemmings (e.g. Android is the most popular mobile OS in the world, by a long shot, even though it's utter crap).
  • Oh okay. I'm personally trading in my black one for the CoD one. I would love to keep my black one to play co-op in the same household but too much stuff to buy from September to November.
  • Does this model even have Kinect? I think its a bit overpriced even with the HDD space increase
  • The extra $100 gets you a $60 game + 500 extra gb
  • Have you ever bought a Activision game before. the markup on every platform is over priced on the 1st what 6 months
  • I may as well import one of these from the US. £429.99 if I don't, it works out at £297.96 if I do!! Cheaper that reg. Xbox one...
  • Customs duty/VAT on importing will bump that up, so don't think you're getting a bargain that easily....
  • I'm sure that it wont cost £130
  • No kinect, wtf
  • I agree. The Kinect is a must-have to fully enjoy the Xbox One. But all the recent bundles announced by Microsoft don't have the Kinect. I think this is a huge mistake.
  • It'd be great with the Kinect bundled also, but even still, not too bad a deal for what you get. Especially seeing as, at least here, very few places actually sell these bundles at the intended rrp.
  • The Kinect should match the look of the Xbox one.
  • So they're basically shafting early adopters! Awesome!
  • You're always going to pay a penalty for being an early adopter. That's pretty much a given with any product.
  • You seriously think they are going to raise the price of everything after launch, or make sure no good bundles get made, for years after launch.. So that early adopters aren't "shafted"? It's been nearly a year already! Plus, this doesn't have Kinect.
  • Agreed. I'd rather pay $499 for a 500GB Xbox One with Kinect and a free game (they have Forza 5 and Titanfall bundles still out there) than $499 for a 1TB Xbox One without Kinect and a free game.
  • You know, Jesus used a lot of parables, for this exact scenario I recommend you the parable about the workers on the vineyard (Matthew 20:1–16) You are not getting shafted in any ways by this. Did you expect they would call back your Xbox One to upgrade it's HDD when a new revision comes out? Have you EVER paid attention to a console generation before?
  • You Sir have read the Bible.... "The first shall be last and the last shall be first", That's a given with early adaptors any new hardware.
What I usually do is sell my XBox on eBay and upgrade, it costs me more in the long run but it beat whining.
  • What is your definition of "shafted"? You paid money to own and Use a product all this time since launch. I haven't paid for that access/ability. Should I feel "shafted"?
  • Why didn't they make a 1tb in the first place
  • 1. Becaust it costs a lot more money to include a 1TB version than a 500GB version and they were already at a pricing disadvantage vs. their competition. 2. Because 500GB is more than enough for many consumers considering that you can now plug in any USB 3.0 external hard drive. In fact, I'd prefer they release a 250GB version at $349 to hit that lower price point.
  • Now that what I'm talking about for memory space
  • Too much
  • This means there has to be a Master Chief xbox is on it's way right?   How can they do this for Call of Duty but not Halo?

  • Isnt Halo being Released Winter 2015
  • The Master Chief Collection this year, Halo 5 next year
  • I bet a Halo: Master Chief bundle comes as well. They just didn't want to undermine their partners: EA (Madden, FIFA), Insomniac (Sunset Overdrive, and Activision (CoD).
  • I'm hoping for a Master Chief's Collection edition of the XB1. I hope it comes with Kinect though. Otherwise I'm not sure if I want to buy the kinect separately.
  • I want that controller! Hopefully they sell it separately... Or I might have to buy it off someone on eBay for a ridiculous price!
  • Already have an extra 750 gb hard drive laying around may connect it when I need the space
  • I bought it 10days ago but who cares...500G is big enough... Bigger deal is new upgrade coming up within this year to play media from external drives.
  • 509 GB is not big enough..... I'm at 85% and I haven't had it that long
  • Wow, what are you putting on there? I have had mine since Day One and have only used 20% of available space. I have a ton of apps downloaded and quite a few games: Dead Rising 3, Killer Instinct, Xbox Fitness, Titanfall, Halo: Spartan Assault, Max: Curse of Brotherhood, Super Time Force, Guacamelee, and Crimson Dragon (yes, many of those are smaller, XBLA-esque games, but still).
  • That's what I want to know. Its not even like we can throw our own media on the drive as with the ps3 and 360.
  • No it's not actually... if you're a real gamer, love betas and freebies, and actually use the Xbox apps... You would be out of space in no time... But to each his own, some can monitor their space well...
  • So there now including achievements worth gamerscore. (500G)
  • If it weren't for the CoD art and inclusion of the game, this would be attractive.
  • This CoD is different. Did you see uplink and the boosts
  • Different. That is a good one. Each CoD release is simply SSDP.
  • +XBOXONE
  • And Sunset Overdrive Bundle with WHITE console will be available in Russia for RUB 20999 ($599)!
  • This is begging for my money, and I am very inclined.... And here I was looking at the white PS4 Destiny Bundle... Sigh... Choices...
  • Howa bout the white Sunset Overdrive one too? That one is sexy.
  • The console should have been equipped with a 1TB HDD from the start. I reached about 70% capacity in the first week of it's release. If you use Xbox one for more than gaming, then you know what I mean.
  • Hm, I kind o like to have 500gb more than I have now since I've so far only bought digital copies of my games. Might pick this one up.
  • It doesn't matter if you buy digital or disc versions of the game because all games are installed on the hard drive. The disc is only for installation and DRM. The game in either form takes up the same amount of space on your hard drive.
  • It's a good bang for your buck for the doubling of the hard drive, but I would really buy it if it also came with Kinect.
  • You are a smart man: do not get an Xbox One without Kinect. Kinect is way too useful and convenient. I can never go back to a non-Kinect world.
  • Can you buy a Kinect separately? As like a separate post-market accessory?
  • Not yet--at least not officially (you can buy it on ebay and the like). Microsoft announced in May that they would start selling it separately this fall, but they haven't announced anything since then, which is troubling.
  • That's the best looking custom art job I've seen so far for consoles! Almost makes me wanna trade in my base console sans Kinect and get this! Plus the controller has speakers! Or something along those lines (could be wrong). Xbox is doing big things! Wanna see what Sony has up their sleeve.
  • 1TB is great for a digital gaming world. I was shocked they bothered with a 500GB version in the beginning.
  • Awesome!...This pretty much guarantees a special edition 1 terabyte Halo 5 Xbox One will be coming Fall 2015...That's when I will finally jump into next Gen...Can't wait!
  • Cab someone tell me if the extra 500gbs is worth it in buying an Xbox one this Thursday
  • Double the storage? Always worth it. Like 99% of the time, it's worth it. Especially if you plan on keeping this for a long time, it'll make a HUGE difference down the road. Yes, the storage can be expanded via USB hard drives now, but you can't beat integrated and built in storage!
  • Will definitely get this. I was waiting for a great Xbox one combo.
  • This actually sounds like an amazing deal... This combined with all those new features in the works, very tempting. Does it come with Kinect?
  • Hmmm still the white xbox is awesome although gotta love bundles
  • I've been saying all along that I want a 1 terabyte hard drive and a themed console before I'd buy. Looks like someone at Microsoft thinks like I do. Thank you!
  • This looks pretty BA, still am hoping for a Master Chief Collection bundle though..
  • My Xbox storage is @73% and there is a few games I known for sure this year that I will buy. I think I am going to wait til my warranty is up, then I will crack open the Xbox one, remove the drive, clone it to a 2 tv drive and replace in the Xbox one... Bing it, with some Linux scripts it can be done now
  • mmm... I'm torn about it.   I love the idea of a 1TB drive yet I want the new Kinect and am less than thrilled with the specialized CoD: Advanced Warfare painting and decals. Sign me up for a regular Xbox One with Kinect and a 1TB drive and I'll be ready to buy shortly....
  • Man, it's deals like this that make me wish I had waited to buy an Xbox One. Oh, well. I've been enjoying it for 9 months, so I guess you can't put a price on that.
  •     I think Microsoft has pretty much given up on the Kinect. I don’t even see consoles sold in the stores with them anymore. I wish you could mix and match parts. I would get the white One, with a 1 TB internal drive and Kinect. I still think that Kinect is cool and Microsoft really should make a couple of must-have Kinect only games.
