What you need to know

  • Detroit: Become Human originally released in 2018 as a PS4 exclusive.
  • It follows the story of androids living in the near-future, and features choices that will change the course of the game.
  • It will release for PC on December 12 through the Epic Games Store for $40.

We knew Quantic Dream's Detroit: Become Human was coming to PC sometime this year, we just didn't know when. It looks like the developer is ready to reveal when players can get their hands on a PC a copy, and it will indeed be squeaking in by the end of 2019.

Set in Detroit City during the year 2038, the city has been revitalized by the invention and introduction of androids into everyday life. But when androids start behaving as if they are alive, events begin to spin out of control. Step into the roles of the story's pivotal three playable characters, each with unique perspectives as they face their new way of life.

The PC version will feature 4K 60 FPS resolution and frame rate, along with a new interface that was designed specifically for mouse and keyboard use.

Detroit: Become Human comes to PC via the Epic Games Store on December 12, 2019 for $40. You can pre-order it today. If you haven't already checked it out and do have a PlayStation 4, you can get it for just $20 on Sony's console.
