Shadows: Awakening is a new adventure in the "Heretic Kingdoms" saga. PC players will immediately recognize the name because it's a staple series on the platform. However, Shadows: Awakening made its way to Xbox One today. The game is a substantial twenty-hour experience and even features voice actors like Tom Baker.
After members of the "Penta Nera" secret council are assassinated, their souls are consumed by evil "Devourer" demons who possess the ability to absorb the memories and personalities of their victims. As a result of this, the now-demonic Penta Nera emerge from the darkness of the "Shadow Realm" and continue their quest for power and immortality.
Shadows: Awakening costs $49.99 at retailers like Amazon or the Microsoft Store. The game doesn't appear to feature Xbox One X enhancements at the moment, but might be updated in the near future.
