Black Friday is traditionally a great time to shop for new PC parts, and you certainly don't have to wait until the official day — November 28, 2025 — to land a great deal on a new GPU.

I'm talking about the MSI Ventus 3X OC GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, which has fallen by $120 to land lower than NVIDIA's $750 MSRP for the GPU. With all discounts tallied, you can pick up this GPU for just $729.99, which is a cracking deal on a GPU that can help you realise your 4K dreams.

"On paper, the RTX 5070 Ti strikes a good balance between performance, features, and value. It's still an expensive high-end card, but it's certainly a better value than the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080." — Jarred Walton (Tom's Hardware)

Why PC gamers are turning to the RTX 5070 Ti for 4K gaming

NVIDIA's RTX 5070 Ti isn't the most powerful GPU from the RTX 5000 Blackwell generation — that accolade goes to the RTX 5090 — but it is gaining traction as the GPU to use for 4K gaming.

That's thanks to the RTX 5070 Ti's value compared to the more powerful RTX 5080 and flagship RTX 5090. The 5080's $999 MSRP is a rare occurrence, with most models costing hundreds more. And the 5090's $1,999 MSRP is basically a dream at this point, with some models doubling that price.

Considering you can currently pick up this RTX 5070 Ti from MSI — a brand that I've personally never had any issues with when it comes to GPUs — for $20 less than MSRP is a rather big deal.

I upgraded to an ASUS version of the RTX 5070 Ti earlier this year, and I've had no general complaints, never mind anything to do with performance. Although I still game at an ultrawide 3440x1440 resolution, I know that the 5070 Ti has what it takes to push a 4K resolution, especially with NVIDIA's DLSS 4 and Multi Frame Generation (MFG) improvements.

Testing my RTX 5070 Ti in DOOM: The Dark Ages, I discovered that the game actually looks better with DLSS, MFG, and Reflex enabled, all the while boosting frame rates to high triple digits. I was skeptical of NVIDIA's AI upscaling at first, but I've become a true believer in the process.

The RTX 5070 Ti's 16GB of VRAM also removes any concerns over having enough VRAM to run modern games, now and in the next couple of years. Yes, this card is going to set you up very nicely for a comfy PC gaming future.

Aren't GPUs supposed to skyrocket in price due to a memory shortage?

AI datacenter buildout is threatening the world's supply of memory, which is required to build GPUs.

Consumer graphics cards do indeed seem to be on the path of going up in price again. This time, it's due to the memory shortage caused by the frantic AI buildout of datacenters. They all need countless GPUs to run, and those GPUs (plus their support systems) need memory.

AMD is rumored to be raising its GPU prices due to the memory shortage, and I wouldn't be surprised to see NVIDIA and its board partners follow suit once the shortage really sets in.

That makes this Black Friday more important than usual for potential GPU buyers. There's no telling what GPU prices will look like next month, never mind next year; picking up a quality card like the RTX 5070 Ti for $20 less than MSRP right now is looking like a true big-brain move.

FAQ

Is the NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti good for 4K gaming?

NVIDIA's RTX 5070 Ti can indeed handle 4K gaming, although in some of the more demanding games, you'll need to rely on DLSS 4 and MFG to really push high frame rates.

The fact that the 5070 Ti comes close to the 4080's performance at 4K should say a lot.

Should I wait for NVIDIA's SUPER variants?

NVIDIA usually launches "SUPER" versions of its current generation of GPUs about a year after the original release, bringing improved performance and, often, additional VRAM to the table.

That might not happen this year due to the impending memory shortage driven by the global AI datacenter buildout. Rumors point to NVIDIA delaying or canceling its SUPER cards, making this Black Friday a great time to pick up something like the RTX 5070 Ti.

What happens if the price of this RTX 5070 Ti drops further on Black Friday?

Newegg's Black Friday price protection is in place for this MSI RTX 5070 Ti, so even if it drops further on November 28, you'll be refunded the difference. That, of course, only covers Newegg, but I find it hard to believe NVIDIA's latest GPUs will drop much further anywhere else when they're already below MSRP.

When does Black Friday start?

Black Friday is set to start on November 28, 2025, and it lasts until December 1, 2025, when it will be replaced by Cyber Monday.

The Black Friday deals are already in full swing at most major retailers, however, and the RTX 5070 Ti certainly isn't the only card on sale. Have a look at my roundup of the best early Black Friday GPU deals for more information.
