Mini PCs are a smart alternative to bulkier desktops or pricier laptops. They’re small enough to mount behind a monitor or disappear at the back of your desk, yet still powerful enough to handle everyday workloads.

The Geekom A7 Max packs plenty of ports around its mostly metal body, can power four displays at once, and even comes with Windows 11 Pro rather than Windows 11 Home. Right now, you can grab it for $549.99, but that discount has a countdown timer ticking away.

Geekom A7 MAX Mini-PC: was $699 now $549 at Best Buy

This mini PC is an excellent choice for productivity or sneaking in some 1080p gaming. It can drive up to four displays, has plenty of ports, and is upgradeable to up to 64GB of DDR5 RAM and up to 2TB of storage.

Why buy the Geekom A7 MAX Mini-PC?

Geekom has earned a strong reputation for its mini PCs. Half of our roundup of the best mini PCs are made by Geekom. The company makes so many quality mini PCs that they compete with each other for spots on that list.

Geekom A7 Max ports

  • 2x USB4 Type-C
  • 5x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
  • 1x USB 2.0, 2x HDMI 2.0
  • 1x 3.5mm Audio
  • SD Card Reader

The Geekom A7 Max is a compact PC powered by an AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS CPU. That chip is now a few years old, but it can easily handle everyday computing, browsing the web, and some creative work.

The AMD Radeon 780M GPU inside gives you some extra power, though I wouldn't call the Geekom A7 Max a gaming PC. It should be able to handle some titles at 1080p resolution, though you'll have to lower your settings in many cases.

The Geekom A7 Max has plenty of ports. It can drive up to four monitors if you use a combination of its USB4 and HDMI ports.

The PC earned praise from TechRadar for its design:

"The quality of Geekom’s build quality is exceptional, and right from the box the largely metal construction of the A7 Max is a delight."

The mostly metal chassis of the Geekom A7 Max is a welcome change from the plastic mini PCs you often see at this price. The sturdier build, paired with the wide port selection and four‑display support, makes it a solid option for anyone who wants a compact desktop that feels more premium than the cheaper mini PCs crowding the market.

Alternative discounts and options

The Geekom A7 Max launched at $949, but it is rarely at that price. Even Best Buy's deal lists the value of the mini PC as $699.99. Amazon's listing for the mini PC doesn't even label the $699.99 as a discount.

With that in mind, Geekom's claim of a 30% discount seems a bit lofty, but the company's discount code drops the price of the Geekom A7 Max to $664.
